  1. Yea the olds 350 is not a very good choice for a diesel swap at all imo. However I have read that the block had some success in drag racing being converted to run on gas. Seems for gasoline or alcohol use the block was very strong and accepted small and big block olds heads. But I would suggest you do more reasearch and consider other options before the 350 olds diesel.
  2. Jmortenson is 100% correct. If you block off the rear port you will have no brakes period on a 2 circuit master cylinder. I once had a similar situation with my 280z and used my pickup in front to ease it down the grade slowly and safely. Luckily my 280z rear and 96 ranger front bumpers were close enough in height to prevent any damage. Hope this helps.
  3. This may be the first time I have seen the RB26DETT or 550 lb/ft of torque called weak. Here is one of the RB weaklings in action.
  4. Grumpy if you are still looking for erson cams I may have found something. I don't know about the Mr-gasket group but erson cams has techline listed as 1-800-641-7920. This was in the latest Circle-Track magazine I have so I would guess they are still in business for racers anyway. The website they have listed is the same one I gave earlier, which is a shame because that side takes alot of digging to get to the cam section. Anyway I hope this helps.
  5. Darn!!!! It says what it is right on it too:oops: That is about the most unusual engine I have ever seen though! What looks like valve covers are crank covers.
  6. I looked around a while and found these people. Maybe they can help you out. http://ultimateguideforenginebuilders.com/company.php?id=36356&company=Erson+Cams Their site is not a good one so it is confusing, but it seems to be the best I can find. Good luck.
  7. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/ There you go:wink:
  8. The best advice for your situation is to spend some time doing research. Only you can decide what engine is right for you. This forum is full of good information on nearly any possible engine for your Z. All you have to do is search for it. 240hoke is currently doing a VQ35 swap into his amazing car. And many others have gone the RB route. Spend some time checking these out and then you will have a better understanding of both swaps.
  9. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126994&highlight=plugs Here is the link to grumpys thread.
  10. Grumpyvette had a thread on these awhile back. He even had a link to dyno results. They were no better than conventional plugs if I remember right.
  11. My next Z will be an LSX Z32!! Go for it scotty! I'm new here but i've been a lurker going on 5yrs so I truly appreciate what this site is about. Purism needs to be in check here, as we all should know. Hope this becomes another cool project to follow!
  12. From a minitruck forum..... I dropped my airbags to 0 psi and was dragging frame!!! Woot!!! btw anyone got another gas tank for cheap?
