As it states in the title. I need a hood for my 280zx. I want to get the older style one for my theme I am doing. I would like to find one locally. I live in Mesa, Arizona 85207. I am willing to travel quite a ways though. Anyway post here or contact me if you have one. And pictures would be nice also. Honestly..I would say that is your problem right there. Well the start of your problem. If it doesn't change with it unplugged or plugged in. Then the CHTS is bad. Because on my '82 n/a..when I unplug that thing. My car will either run like crap blowing out white smoke. (while running pig rich) Or just plain...not run at all. Anyway I know you have given up on your engine. But I wanted to point this out to you anyway.

Yeah you definately need to give that Z. A good going over. I have found out over the years. That it is quite difficult to restore and or fix a daily driver. Always good to have a more dependable car to drive. So you can work on, and give the Z the attention it so desperately needs. Otherwise, a nice looking Z. Good luck on your daily driver search. And your constant Z project.

My daily driver is my 1982 280zx n/a. Has been the last couple of years. I just rolled over 207k, the past couple of days. (oh now my Z is all flat black) Anyway I would take the Civic, or Miata, for your daily driver choice. But personally to me. My Z has been a great dependable daily driver for me. And I do keep up on his maintenance. And drive him hard here and there.

I am fairly new to the boards. But I voted for the L28ET conversion. I am slowly piecing the parts needed for the project. I am turning my '82 280zx N/A into a '81 1/2 Turbo clone. Eventually I will start a project thread. And update my progress as I go. Oh and this will not be your typical 280zx turbo. I am customizing things here and there. It is going to be one of a kind. That is what I always strive to be. (different)
