I am looking for a 280zx fender for the driver side. preferably in the Sacramento area or north-bay.

Mine is OD green and black two-tone, thats pretty unusual.

Check the Timing chain or tensioner, because if the chain somehow slipped or if the tensioner failed, i will severely retard your timing which will cause a compression loss on all cylinders. and it could cause a poor running situation.

Why, it would just blow hot air back on to the injectors, plus the radiator fan pushes more air over them then that little thing ever could. I ran my car in Phoenix for two years without it and never had a problem, even when driving hard enough that my exhaust manifold is glowing orange.

This same thing happened to my 83, i tested the switch with a DVOM and it seemed to be fine, but it still did it. after i replaced almost every other part, i wound back at the switch and even though it tested ok i replaced it and it fixed the problem. i think the vibration of driving was shaking the contacts inside and causing erratic operation.
