  1. There might not have been a Grand National, but there is a '87 GNX on that list. The 1987 GNX was actually produced by ASC McLaren, If you look there is an entry under ASC incorporated with trade-in year of 1987 but the model is unlisted; but it must have been a GNX
  2. I went through the same thing with my 76. At the time I had a 2+2 parts car and a 77 parts car. I now know that 70 to 76 2 seaters use the same window regulators. 2+2 are different and won't work in your 75. 77-78 regulators are also different and won't work.
  3. Has anybody used this vacuum hose kit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSUN-280Z-280ZX-Silicone-Vacuum-Hose-Kit-BLACK_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a570Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem260377272656QQitemZ260377272656QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Has anyone else replaced their vacuum lines with something else, if so could you let me know were to get the best hose to replace the vacuum hoses on an L28E. PS I used the search function before I started this thread
  4. Mitsubishi, Hyundai and Chrysler all share that engine line (I4), that 2.0T engine has a lot of potential. Pretty much the same bottom end as an EVO X. Personally I'd like to see a 2.4L swap out a SRT-4 Caliber....
  5. WOW! this thread is really entertaining. /gets up, grabs some popcorn and a bottle of beer
  6. "yea im positive it is limited slip but i want full time positive traction bc mine will only posi up when its wet or on a down hill grade" my 280z has a stock diff and it spins both wheels when it's wet out my neighbours, friends, parents of friends and a couple members of the Ontario Provincial Police will back me up on that P.S. a full posi in an s30 probably work that well, ie. trying to turn
  7. I am 19, bought my first zed in January 2008 (I was 18 at the time). I have always admired the Z car, My father and I regularly watch ebay for rust free southern cars and trucks to import into Canada. I live in Trenton ON. One Day, while looking at donated vehicles in socal (on ebay) I found my beautiful 76 280z. I won the auction for 1500 bucks, payed 1000 to have shipped the New York state and have spent about 800 on it after. I currently have 3 280zs, a 78 that i bought in Ontario getting ready for a L28et swap, a 76 2+2 parts car and i sent a 71 240z to the crusher that i parted out.
  8. I am looking a t5 to L28 bellhousing, please pm me if have one for sale
  9. I think someone must have switched the vin plates on that car because it is definitely a late 260 or 280. Late 260 or 280 aspects of this Car: tail lights rear roll pan rear quarter panels The whole interior Front turn signals and low front radiator support
  10. 1. '76 280z (my baby) 2. R32 GTR (we can easily and legally drive these in Canada) 3. R35 GTR (totally bad ass) 4. '78 Beetle Convertible 5. Lamborghini LM2000 6. '75 Bricklin SV1 (1 of 2854 built in New Brunswick, Canada) 7. '93 Chevy Corsica 3.1L V6 (surprisingly fun to drive)
  11. I have a complete SU set up off a 70 240z, manifold, heat sheilds etc, pm me you're interested
  12. I have heard of these, but I think clearance would be a problem with LHD S30's.
  13. For me I bought a rust free (well about 95% rust free), running and driving 76 280z in Cali for $1500 off ebay. spent around $1000 having it shipped to Ontario Canada. Since then I have spent about $800 on her (new seat covers and foam, radiator and other things). Now I am only 18 have the only S30 in town, also it is still bone stock and it loves to eat 5.0L mustangs around town.
  14. You should use a primer that contains zinc also known as weld trough primer
