  2. Hello, I need the 240z front bumper (either fiberglass or chrome (stock)) for my 280z. Please post the price shipped to 67205. Thanks, Viet
  3. http://www.datsunstore.com/product_info.php/pName/105amp-high-output-alternator/cName/engine-z-electrical-tune-up I think I will get this alternator since their instruction said to disconnect the external voltage regulator and tape off the ending.
  4. Hello, I am planning to swap the alternator to ZX alternator in my '75 280z by following this instruction: http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/alternatorswap/index.html When I look at the number of wires, there should be 6 wires. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/wiringdiagrams/75_280z_wiring.pdf However, there are only 5 wires on my '75 and the missing wire is the Green/red (GR) wire ( I ran through the search and the '75 only have 5 wires instead of 6). That missing wire that was supposed to be there is capped off by plastic plug. I believe in the later model, that GR wire became a solid L (blue) wire. The closest blue wire I can find is in the safety interlock. I'm not sure what to do at this point. This is what i can think of: Can I eliminate the safety interlock and wire that blue wire with the black/wire wire of the voltage regulator together?
  5. Thank you very much for the diagram. According to the diagram on the fusible link, this is what I came up with: One white wire on the left side is routed to the shunt and other white wire on the right is routed to the starter. If I want to eliminate the shunt, I can convert the ammeter to voltimeter using the '76 or later voltimeter (I'll look into on how to convert it to voltimeter since I think the '76 or later do not have shunt, please correct me if I am wrong). After doing that, I'll ground the distribution block to the starter without using the white wire as what the instruction from http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fusiblelinks/index.html did for the '76 or later 280z. The WR wire on the left side is routed to the alternator and the other WR on the right side is routed to the C-5. I am not familiar with C-5, so is that the ignition switch?
  6. someone must have the 1975. hoping to get some help
  7. sorry for reviving this thread. i also have 1975 and attempting to do this upgrade. Were you able to figure out which wires (2 WR and 2 W) should be routed correctly and which amp to use?

  9. Hello, I own 280z and now i'm getting sick with the exhaust fume that i suffered for over a year now hahah. I did an investigation to find out where the fume was coming from and found out that the majority was from the shifter area above the catalytic converter or something. My question is what can you do to fix that? i don't have a great idea of how you can seal the fume away.
