  1. I appreciate the information. Are those numbers typical of 240 and earlier models? And for those that might use those numbers when setting up a TUNE model, you will need to double them as the 123ignition uses crankshaft degrees.
  2. (IE) refers to models that need injector signals for the Bosch Electronic Fuel injection. I thought that since the Bosch needed it then other injection systems would need it. But, I stand corrected... Many Volvo, Mercedes and others use them but the TUNE is not equipped to put out the injector signal. I don't know about the specifics but typically we sell the units for use on carburetor equipped cars. And can supply injector input for 123ignitions that have the 16 pre mapped curves in them. When 123Ignition.nl has their forum up and running again I will ask around about the topic of IE inputs. Anybody have an advance curve to share. In particular what is the max advance and at how many rpm? Ed
  3. I have talked to the Japanese distributor of the Datsun conversion. He has confirmed that the IE is not useful for Japanese cars.
  4. A while back, around Dec 25 2013 a number of forum members were asking about the L6 and using a 123ignition. It has been accomplished and is available here in the US. Costs were kept lower than originally estimated by having the parts made here in the US. See here at 123ignitionusa http://www.123ignitionusa.com/datsun-conversion.html
  5. Gentlemen I have read your posts and concerns. Let me assure you, if I can source the parts from the Japanese supplier to put together a total package for you here in the US I will. However timing of your requests has made it difficult to respond in a timely manner. The mfg in the Netherlands does not make the fittings for the L4 and L6 engines. I have asked them directly. Of course one could always purchase the TUNE4 or Tune 6 straight away and make the conversion themselves. I am willing to go out on a limb here and say... for me to purchase those bits from Japan will add many dollars to the initial cost of the 123. And may make it cost prohibitive. However if we can convince the manufacturer to produce the parts needed as they have for the Kent engine and BMW engines it would be a great savings to you and any who come after you. So keep in mind the following, regardless of who you purchase from. The Tune products will work the best and are for non injected engines. If you have an electronicly injected engine then you will need what they call an IE version which has a trigger mechanism for the injection. But it is not tunable it has 16 pre mapped curves, most likely the GB6-R-V or GB4-R-V would offer curves closest to what you need here. This is a great product and is fairly new to the market. I think it was 2006 when I first heard of them and in 2007 I became a supplier. So I apologise if I have offended anyone. This is not intended to be a ploy for business. But since I have you all together it would be an opportunity to get on the same page. Respectfully submitted Ed
