  1. Yes, I got a 3.31 iron housing (manual trans car) from LKQ. Prices at LKQ for the diffs alone are pretty cheap, they go from $220-$600. Mine has 67k miles on it and was advertised at $260. They charge more for those labeled "clutch type lsd", but as said above, that's what they all are aside from the torsen ones.
  2. Putting in my order for this set-up has rejuvenated interest in my Z. This Super 8.8 swap is something I can actually afford. Better struts, serviceable diff, stronger axles, hubs, and companions, 5 lug swap, bigger brakes, all pretty much bolt on parts with minor fabrication. Thrifty shopping and planning will make this whole swap significantly less than a set of aftermarket R200 axles. Plus I can buy the replacement parts from local parts houses. I'm stoked! Thank you for following through with your word and actually bringing something to market. Who needs an obx fitted 3.36 R200? I'll have one available soon. 😜🤣🤣
  3. Hello everyone, I bought my 240 about 10-12 years ago from Craigslist as a roller for $900. I first saw it on there with a 327 and Muncie 4spd, but the guy wanted $2700 and I didn't have it. So a few weeks later I saw it again sans engine and trans and knew it was meant to be. Pulled it home and slapped a 283 older than myself that I stole from my dad and backed it up with a Muncie 4spd. I had it running that weekend. Here it is below Played with it for a bit and parked it for about 6 years at a buddies house (I have too many cars). Picked up a 05 4.8 with a denmah special turbo kit (only used turbo and blow off) from a friend and was talked into installing it into the Z. It's been a slow process probably close to 6 years in the making. Which is actually pretty fast for one of my personal cars, lol. I'm working my way from the front to the back, aside from the skipping to the fuel cell and behind the license plate filler, I recently installed. Here is an older pic of the install Specs: 05 Silverado 4.8, LS1 intake, LS7 cartridge MAF (blow through), LS9 head gaskets, eBay head studs, LS2 Corvette oil pan. Twin scroll eBay GT45 76mm, twin 38mm wastegates, single 50mm blow off valve, T56, custom built mounts and tunnel strengthing plates, ls7 clutch, Tilton eBay ex-nascar $20 clutch master, Still has the R180 for now, found a 74 260 2+2 3.36 in the junkyard so I took all the rear components, $217.00, Score! I put it on the rollers a couple of weeks ago to have an awesome tuner and friend put a shakedown tune in it, had wastegate spring issues (I am dumb and installed a 2lb spring) that limited it to 9lbs of boost. It laid down 430 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque on a Mustang dyno. Not bad for a practically bone stock 05 Silverado 4.8, an eBay turbo + parts, and a garage built kit, lol. It's a blast to drive, the R180 is hanging in there and still laying down two black stripes on the road Here is a Photobucket link with a bunch of pictures of my build. There are several libraries there. I really need to get some newer pictures for some of the stuff.http://s66.photobucket.com/user/grpkewlaid/library/17%20gallon%20Rear%20fill%20fuel%20cell
