The pan I need to buy is $165. If you google 280zx oil pans and click images you can see the oil pans I'm referring to. I would post the two pictures but I havnt figured out how yet.

I think there are two different kinds and I need the one with the sump farther back. I have three with the sump located just behind the middle of the pan. I will sell some oil pans if anyone is interested.

I thought there was only one style of factory motor mounts from 70 to 83? I have three more oil pans that look just like the one I have on there. I have found a different style that would fit, but I want to make sure I need to buy it before I spend the money. I'm calling the bar that runs from wheel to wheel and is connected to the steering arm, a sway bar? The sway bar is already pretty close to the frame. I think I'm going to have to buy the oil pan with the sump located farther back so it will clear the sway bar. Any thoughts?

What oil pan for l28 engine in my 79 280zx Oil pan is hitting sway bar

I'm new to this site and I have a question about my oil pan on my 79 280zx, I'm trying to drop my engine in the car but the oil pan hits the sway bar, the engine came out of another car but I don't know which one. How do I know if I have the right oil pan? Maybe I have the right one but I don't know the tricks to installation.
