  1. Last week I had the attendant at the gas station adjust my tyre pressures - i suspect he inflated the tyres too much and suddenly I had the same steering wheel wobble at certain speeds. Worth a look.
  2. Would you guys run these on a zx? 16x9, ET25
  3. I have a somewhat similar problem on my '81. When I turn on the headlights, the dash and rear lights will take a few seconds to come on. Maybe 5-10 seconds, but they still come on. I know there is an issue, just haven't had time to look into it. Can you explain what you mean by headlight switch? Are you talking about the turning knob on the stalk itself or is it something else? Should I try and get a stalk from another car?
  4. Looking to get all the compressed and extended lengths of the various shock options listed in the table. These are all the "right" type of shock insert for our strutt housings. Knowing this info will make it easy for everyone to select the best suited insert for their level of lowering, wheel size etc.
  5. Hi guys, I'm starting to look into suitable strut cartridges to lower my S130. Neither the VW Rabbit or MR2 strutts are available locally so I've gone through the entire Gabriel Catalogue and compiled a table of all the cars that use a similar cartridge. Unfortunately the catalogue doesn't provide compressed and extended lengths, or the lengths of the cartridge bodies. I'm posting the data up here in the hope that someone who has access to the actual parts or a better catalogue or one of the other cross-referenced part number catalogues can perhaps provide lengths. Perhaps there is a bigger range of suitable cartidge bodies available to us. This info may be usefull to the community. All I have is a physical measurement of the 44602 cartridge body which is around 14.17inch long. Excel version available to anyone who wants it emailed.
  6. Thanks newZed. Diff is in and working perfectly.
  7. At first I thought so too but I saw the same thing in the tutuorial on how to remove the buttons from a KR180 diff on one of the Z forums. Seems OEM....
  8. So my old diff is dead and I managed to source a new one. Slight differences in the housing but the axles/flanges slipped right in and it bolted right up. However, I noticed they look different at the spider gears. The new diff has something there that the old one didn't. What is it? ] Old New
  9. So I pulled m diff cover off and discovered this: Decided to get a new diff. Found a complete r200 open diff with cv shafts from a r30 skyline gtx with l28. I also got the axle bits that bolt to the outer cv and goes into the wheel side. I'd love to just bolt it all in, but I suspect these cv shafts are longer than the zx's u-joint shafts. Can anyone confirm what the right cv length should be to work? I've read so much about long shafts and short shafts but there is no definitive Info or lengths.
  10. Got any pics? I'm looking at a set of Work Ewing Emotions in 16x8. Might be a better solution...
  11. Hi guys looking to fit some wheels on my newly aquired s130 2+2. Personally, from pics I've seen I don't know if I like the 17" look on these cars. A low profile tire just looks wrong, and a high profile tire makes the car look awkwardly tall. 16" seems ideal in my opinion but there is limited choice over here. Mainly BBS Mesh wheels and SL Klutch mesh wheels in 16x8. 15"x9j is more readily available but I'm concerned it may look too small?? What do you guys think? The car is a driver so I'd like it to be fairly practical but still look good. This is a crude photochop of my car with roughly 15" Equip 01's.
  12. ^^^ Nice find - thanks!! I'm definitely bidding on that. I thought about extending the stalks on the door mirrors but even the body of the mirror is significantly different for the fender mirrors.
