  1. I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT WOULD BE NEEDED TO RUN THE 85T ECU IN A 86T . I JUST PURCHASED A NISTUNE ECU FROM AN 85T BUT WASNT REALLY SURE WHAT I NEED TO DO TO SWAP IT INTO MY 86 TURBO I KNOW THEY BOTH ARE LOW IMPEDENCE THE ONLY THING IS THE 02 SENSOR BEING DIFFRENT , NOT SURE IF I HAVE TO STILL AQUIRE THE 85T ENGINE HARNESS WIT 02 SENSOR AND USE THE 6-`1OHM 10W DROPPING RESISTORS. I ONLY SEE NOTES ON THE LATER SYTLE SWITCHING TO THE EARLY STYLE ECUS 84-85 HARDLY ANY 86. PLS LET ME KNOW AS IM AM NOW DOING MY HOLSET HX35 BUILD. MODS NISTUNE 420-450CC INJECTORS ADJ FPR AEROMOTIVE TAIL WASTE GATE 38MM BOV INTERCOOLER Z32TT MAF WIT THE Z32TT FUEL PUMP/FILTER HX35 HOLSET AND LOOKING TO DO MY IGNITON AND VALVE TRAIN . THANKS
  2. ya i would but just moved to a new apartment and they only have car ports. so im left to work under to port and manuever he best way i kno how . I i was thinking o f dropping the steering linkage because i have manifold and turbo laying on the linkage and side rail. i do think if ican move the bb brackets and loer heat sheild might give a little room?
  3. yah i luckly got the sum biyotch off from the top i manage to slip my 3.8 on and hold it while i grabed the jack handle slid that over the ratchet to get some more leverage and the biyotch screamed loose afte 25 yrs, lmfao. but know the problem of taking the turbo out now. After i golt the cross over pipe loose i struggled to get the get both driver manifold with turbo off. once again i performed this without going under the car.. Is it possible the turbo out with manifold out from the side of the bolck heads are still on aswell..
  4. Hello i was just wondering what would be the best way to remove the stock turbo cross pipe. i have both driver and passenger manifold bolts off. Aswell as the (2 bolts on each side of the cross pipe=4bolts). the maifold flex but i still cannot ge it off.I also found that it was a 12mm bolt under the cross over pipe and assuming it will be one and the passenger side. what will be the best way to get it off? thanks will appricieate it. Also i will be going under the car try to get a better fitment to the bolt if that nesecery.
  5. word i just want to put a little juice i it and buy another vg30et and build an vg33et... but for now i will just hook the good ole stocker motor up ..

  7. i hear about az tractor s for the stock turbo but im thinking of going holset hx35... with either internal waste gate or open... the hybrid seems good cuz i know they make the car respond faster but im just lookng anywhere from maybe 350 to 400 might aswell go big...
  8. okay say no more i remeber that post.. so shouldi stik with the regular turbo ... or go a little bigger for 300-350 hp..

TO4E Turbo XS Power Hybrid T3/T4 Turbocharger hello my felow z owners i was wondering if this would be an good upgrade from the stock turbo.. i wanted to average out between 300-375 hp... on my 86 turbo.. however im new with turbo cars and before i do anything stupid like some people already did. i'd rather ask around for opinions about these hybrid turbos... T3 T4 T3T4 T04E HYBRID TURBO CHARGER AR50 57trim i also had this one in mind aswell because i was on the verge of buying a t3 from and another z owner to and have it rebuilt but i also heard that u can get the stock turbo from the z31 and make it hybrid i was told but i know the stock turbo won't produce that much power.. Im not trying to go all out but i just want to go fast with the head work i intend getting done thats what im on the verge of doing.... pls let me know what is my best options and what will i need to do to run this turbo if its worth it or not . or if im better off doing something to the stock turbo.. like rebuilding or something
  10. hello im interested im in the process of taking my heads off im thinking about rebuilding the heads so mightas well get it port and polished... i kinda hearing a ticking noise and i put a screw driver on my manifold and heard an slight ticking noise so im thinking its a valve that maybe getting taped buy an piston slightly.. so im going to go with that set up...
  11. hi im new o the hybird forums.. i just had a couple of questions about the turbo 86 300zx the vg30et .. i was wondering if there are any performance heads to increase. performance. i well stock still but im looking to up grade. i just need a few pointers on what it available for these cars i search all over and cannot find heads fro these cars like mustangs or camaro's... i saw the nismo heads but they are way out my money range. i was more thinking abou something eles or just portting and polishing the heads.. and intake. i also wanted to do the pathfinder manifold.. with the engine heads ported or up grade pls let me know whats available. for the z31. i wish they had asmuch upgrades asthey do for the z32... they have dam near every upgrade possible for the z32 why not the z31 and they started it all.. and paved the way for the z32 and the z33 aqnd the new 370z which is going to be as -popular as the 350z was when it hit the streets in 03.. thanx and im more than gladly to be apart of the forums along with the datsun family.. thanx:icon2:
