  1. Sounds like a bad MAF(s).
  2. Check for intercooler tubing leaks and fuel pump pressure. Had the same issue with Adams sentra. Turned out to be both - Loose tube clamps and Chinese knockoff Walbro fuel pump couldnt deliver sufficient fuel.
  3. Hey congrates guys Saw the video and pics. Looks like your making great progress. Trying to finish my work here to get time for a visit Hope to see you soon
  4. Ok guys Sorry for the panic, but I found it Turns out its Bob H thats doing this project. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=115751&highlight=cutting+rb26+oil+pan&page=5 I still have my pan and may decide to follows Bobs lead on this
  5. Hey Guys Yesterday I say a site where the guy was modifying an RB26DETT oil pan to fit his 240z. Cant seem to find the site today Anyone have a link to it Thanks
  6. Hey Rob & Chris, You guys are doing an amazing job!!! Car is looking real nice. Lots of talk around town about it. The project is becoming well known Sorry I havent been around in a while, been busy with Adam's Sentra, the Drift car & my own RB26 project. Hope to catch up with you guys soon
  7. Hey guys I'd love to drag the trans out and fit it up properly to see how bad the offset is, but the car still has a motor in it. Wasnt planning to take it out until the spring. I saw the posts where its states that the RB26 bellhousing fits onto a 300zx rear section/internals. So, does any one have an RB26 bellhousing they want to sell???
  8. Hey guys I was looking at the RB26DETT and L24 blocks in my garage and it seems to me that the bolt pattern for the transmission bell housing patterns are the same between the two designs. Can anyone comment on this ?? Seems there might be a possibility in using the T56 tranny (which I have) instead of getting a hard to find RB25 unit. Anybody have any information on this???
  9. Hey Stony I have a GTR pan and pickup. I would be willing to swap for your pan (if it would fit my RB26DETT going into a 71 240z)? Send me a PM if your interested and we'll swap pics and details
  10. Hey guys Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread from you, but a quick question. Is the plastic lined fuel cells permitted for road racing? I believed they were only for Drag racing I want to install a fuel cell in my car (soon to be road raced here in Canada) but am curious to know if the cell I choose to buy should be alumimun or steel skinned. thanks Jeff BTW- I like the install, very clean !!
  11. I've done my '72 zcar with the sump in the bottom of the tank, and really like how it works. I can run the car right out of fuel before noticing any starvation problems on corners. I have also done a turbo install on a '76 280z using the stock tank. Apparently the tank already has baffles inside from the factory. We havent run the fuel level down as much on the 240z, but it hasnt shown any starvation yet. So I would say that you shouldnt have problems with baffling the inside of the tank. Just make sure that the baffles are setup to contain the fuel around the pickup, and still allows fuel to run "Under" the baffles when the level gets low. Jeff
  12. I just used a nut and screw c/w a ring connector on the wires Just be sure to trim the screw back so it doesnt short out on anything Jeff
  13. I have the relay board mounted just in front of the washer bottle on the 280 turbo And its on the battery side with the 240z N/A
  14. Nice Job Nigel, Its good to see you routed the turbo outlet across the rad and then around to the IC and directly back to the TB. I did that on Brians car and it works very well.
  15. Hey Guys, I know you flamed me for saying this last time we talked about this, but I mounted my sensor on the "intake" the turbo. You laugh, but I have never had a problem with heat soak, and the car has never shown any problem with the way its tuned. When the car comes out of storage I'll try the locations your using and let you know what differences I find.
