  1. Hey NISMOFREAK its been awhile since I been on this site and came across your post and see it is from 2015. Just wondering if you figured out your problem. Was the car backfiring when you finally got the engine to spark? Just wondering if cas trigger is in a different position from the rb to the vg if they where that would cause the engine to spark out of time. Would like to know what happened? Love the RB swapped z32 and I'm about to start building one myself.

  4. Cool thread! I have a pretty good head start on parts for the build. Its just a matter of gathering info and getting everything in order complete the transplant. I have a wrecked GT mustang 01 with the T56 trans. Car is complete runs and drives. I just picked up a 90 z32 for really cheap! I was going to just sell the mustang and buy a TT motor swap but I'm really leaning towards a really cool Hybrid Z with some good old american rumble. I know a few things are in my favor, one being the rear mounted oil pan sump. From what I gather the trans is a good one as far as fitment on this car. I measured the width of the 4.6 and the width of the engine compartment it will fit. I was woundering if anyone knew of anyone doing this swap on a z32 yet or knows a few things right off hand. 1. Will the trans tunnel need to be cut so the oil pan will clear the crossmember? 2. Were is a good place to get the material I need to get the exhaust peices like the base manifold that is already precut? If I decide to do this swap and go through with it I'll post a follow along with alot of pics. I enjoy it when others do it! Spread the experience.
  5. I have a 90 z32 and a wrecked 2001 gt mustang with the t56 I believe. I tried to sell the mustang but had no luck. So now I'm thinking of swapping the 4.6 into the z32. I looked over the forums and they all seem to to be talking about the earlier z's. I measured the 4.6 motor and the space in the z32. It seems like it will fit. From what I read, the t56 trans will fit the z32 tunnel. The 4.6 has the rear sump oil pan. I have my z at work (the shop I work @) and my mustang is in my garage. So I havent compaired side by side yet. Does anyone know of this swap done in a z32? Does anyone know if the pan will clear the crossmember? Any info will help. I havent decided if I want to do this swap yet and there isn't much info about it.

  7. I installed my kenwood cd player into my Z32 as per the instructions using a interface because of the Bose system. When I completed the install the sound bearly comes out the speakers but is loud out of the mid in the front. I have the interface on factory amp but there is no factory amp that I see. There was an old aftermarket player that I took out but it didn't work. There was an older style interface that was in place but I still saw no amp. Anyone with experiance installing in a Z32 can help, I'll be very great full. My guess is there is no factory amp but I really don't know what I'm looking for. Thanks!

  9. Trying to hoist my motor to change the oil pan. I have the factory manual and they show brackets called engine slings. They are not good drawings because it doesn't even show were exactly they mount. I don't have the brackets and was woundering how to hoist my motor up so I can get this oil pan changed. Any help? If you have any pics would be awsome. I tried searching the forums but didn't find anything.
