  1. I've read through the stickies and a majority of the information is based on someone’s decision to go with a certain style. The reason I posted this thread was to see if someone by chance that converted their Z and put a big block, like I did, might possibly provide what setup they used to hold up the weight. I don't want to make a decision to use, "x coilover set" because John Doe did, he might have been running an original L24 engine. See my point? What year make a model car do you have John? Did you convert your cars engine? What type of coil over system are you using? Adam
  2. Hello Z Enthusiasts, This is actually my first post, so be nice. I've owned two 240z so far and I absolutly love them. I have a lot of passion for the car. I restored my 73 240 and then sold it (didn't want to but I wanted an older one that I can really have fun with). The 71 Z has stock front suspension and let me tell you, it's horrible. I've been in the market for a coilover/spring upgrade. I'm afraid I might bend my frame over time and ruin my Z with the road conditions (I live in Sacramento, California, yeah worst roads in the U.S.). When I'm driving I hear the front springs hit the strut tower stopper (LOUD) and I know it's not a good thing. So, to the point, I know there’s Arizona Z Car.com and others sites that sell the kit, but I found this kit on Ebay and wanted some feedback. It looks like a quality set but the price doesn't match up with the quality. So, I hope I can make the right decision in suspension with your help. Any guidance is much appreciated. I'm running a ZZ4HO 4 bolt main block at about 550+hp with a t56 6 speed manual transmission. So the front end is heavy. I raised it on the rack and I can see that both springs in the front are completely compressed. So I know I need a kit bad, maybe a 250 lbs/in spring set all around. Thank you and heres the link to the kit on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Racing-Dual-Coil-overs-Coilovers-DATSUN-240Z-70-74-NEW_W0QQitemZ330334187247QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item4ce973aeef&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A1171%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Also, I've attached some pictures of my Baby, 71 Z. Enjoy. =)
