  1. I am in the process of doing this conversion right now, and am pretty much wondering the same thing. I have some bits and pieces of wiring diagrams, but nothing with the details of the fsm. From what I can see the shielded wire of the o2 sensor for the 88 goes to 24 wire, same as the 280zx o2 sensor wire, the yellow wire from the 88 o2 wire goes to ground, and the green/white from the 88 o2 wire splices anywhere into 34 wire. I haven't tried this yet, but I am going to try this tommorrow and see how it goes. hopefully I don't let the magic smoke out of anything :\.
  2. I don't believe it clearly stated "that the problem is the POV blowing off the excess boost", so I just wanted to post my findings for the next guy looking for answers to this problem.
  3. i agree with Doug77zt, my car did that very same thing until I did a little experimenting with the POV, which verified that it was indeed the problem. The remedy was removing it and replacing it with a one inch pipe cap. Now I have the boost set at eleven psi with no problems, of course I bumped the fuel pressure a couple lbs.
  4. I have been hunting for the source of a steering shimmy since I bought my z last spring. the latest improvement came from replacing the tension rod bushing that was non-existant on the passenger side with a piece of cast pipe from the hardware store. This made the biggest improvement to the problem that got new brake rotters, wheel bearings michelins that were mounted on wheels checked for side and up and down runout, then balanced on a roadforce maching until the readings came back in the single digits.
