    L28

I've got a healthy l28et that just needs an intake manifold and a new home. Let me know if you're interested.
  2. I have a gut feeling telling me that your switch is bad, try removing the steering column cover and toying with the switch. Check if the brown pcb looking board has cracks, it's on top of the box where the moving parts of the switch are located. Hopes this helps.
  3. interesting swap, i'm sorry to see your 280zx bite the dust.
  4. I have to admit that's amusing.
  5. i'm eager to see your results. subscribed.
  6. what an awesome application, i'm definitely adding it to my blackberry.
  7. I can definitely feel your pain when it comes to making this decision, if it helps any i'm currently in the process of ditching my t3/t04b l28et swap for a gen III chevy v8. The l28 is an awesome motor, sounds great, and produces good power but if you have your mind set on a v8 there are few things that can compete with ones desire for a nice push rod motor.
  8. Good Luck, just noticed you are in the uk.
  9. Alright guys, I finally officially got cracking today and started things off by carefully removing all the electrical connections and hoses off the motor. She's ready to pull and hopefully come tomorrow the old l28 will be out of the car and looking for a new home.
  10. Thanks for the support guys, i'll make an effort to share pictures and information as I progress. So far in terms of motor/trans I already have a world class t5 from a late f-body, an iron 5.3 that will probably go in for a while just so i can nitrous bomb it(gotta love 300 dollar motors), plus a foam ls mock up block that we have at the shop which will be my primary means of mocking up the block and t5 for when i go to fabricate the motor mounts.
  11. Hey guys, i'm relatively new the to the forum and pop in every so often but i'd figure i'd share my swap. I've got a 1978 280z that currently has an l28et swapped in it with an n42 intake, t3/t04e, haltech, t5, etc etc etc... I've decided to get replace it with an ls motor because of my familiarity with the motor and my overwhelming desire to have instant torque again. I'll post updates of my progress if anyone is interested and next post i'll go into details of what exactly i have in mind for the car.
  12. Glad to hear it, they're tough old birds these z cars.
  13. Tough luck mate, thank god your son and your self made it out fine. Cars can be replaced, it sucks losing one but i'd much rather lose that than lose a son.
