  1. Your never going to go faster than you can afford!
  2. I got a billet part from Summit. some thing like PSR or the like i can't remember right now the exact name. but it was a quality part and worked with my electric water pump with a little modification. I'll be going to the car storage later to get the Z out and look for a name on the part if you like.
  3. I agree the 010"casting #" is a great block and can handle up to .040 in high horse numbers, they made some in 2bolt main so you will have to look for the four bolt stuff. the nickel caps are the bomb! IIRC the really good ones where outfitted in boats.
  4. Here's mine a 355 alum heads, solid cam, roller rockers, pete jackson, 12.5 cr
  5. I did, If you got the book you'll have the measurments.
  6. May be you should buy a set. Then you would (own) the rites and you could rip off as many as you want.
  7. Had a shutter on a L28 once, after much head banging and many parts swapped, found the pintle was broken off three injectors. thus not allowing the fuel at low engine speeds to properly atomize for complete combustion. It ran fine at WOT.
  8. Well they say if you have to ask you might not have enough! I hope My wife dosent checkin here and see I'm a 15K and not done yet. Car, engine, trans, r200, bits and pieces. now on to suspension.
  9. That's what I'm talkin about, that thing hauls a$$. Nice work!!!!!!!
  10. I ground My plunger down a bit so it would clear the cap. Is the MSD cap larger than the stock cap? It seems to Me the high performance coils are the same size under the fancy cap, maybe you could swap the two.
  11. Ya "private" Old industrial sub-division that, well just never took-off. about half a mile from the shop, so ya we spend sometime there.
  12. So far so good with it running well, I'll see about some dyno time soon but it is what it is! OLD school 350 with '86 corvette alum heads(58cc),stainless valves, solid cam,12.5 pistons, pete jackson gear drive, rollers, solid bottom end(pink rods, steel crank,4 bolt) balanced.T-5 gear box,R200 LSD. JTR kit. What a ride!!!!! HybridZ has been a invaluable resorce, great site for the Z lover.
  13. just bolt it up use good bolts not that cheap #2 grade stuff,I got bolts that would fill the depth of the threads on the alum. plates. do what the book advises on the motor mounts and you will be "golden". The JTR book tells you how, but you really need to "KNOW HOW" to do stuff.
  14. I used the numbers from the JTR book at Auto Zone,About $6.00 each.
