  1. 5speed speed sensor that attaches to the tranny???
  2. Did you ever find one? I think I have one if you are looking.
  3. Driver and passenger headlight assembly? Those cone looking things that the headlight sits in.
  4. Hi All, I am throwing this out there in the hopes that someone has one laying around or knows where I can find one. I have contacted my local dealer and Courtesy Nissan in Tx. No joy on both counts. I have also contacted a Nissan Wholesaler and I was told Nissan doesn't even make the part anymore. I found the number on Carpartsmanual.com and it is a bushing extension for the rear of the tranny where the drive shaft connects. My pal and I are freshening up my 5 speed (this part is for the 4 speed, but I'm hoping it'll work) I have spoken to a few people and they never replaced it when they built theirs (or just got a different rear assembly). I am perfectly fine to go with what I have, but my pal says whenever he rebuilds a tranny (Chevy Guy) that is something that MUST be replaced. I'm a bit of a newbie and don't want to do this again when it's in the car. I have another rear transmission case from a 4 speed that I have taken apart which is better than the 5 speed...but not great. Just looking for opinions. Thanks for your time.
  5. Hi all, I am in the process of finishing up a Ground Control Coilover kit on my 73 and all is going really well. One question, My front strut insulators won't fit over the MR2 Tokico's that I used for the conversion. Can/should I just drill out the center so they will fit over the threaded part of the shaft (so the insulator can fit on it)? I did a search for strut insulators and modifying strut insulators, but nothing came up. The backs fit fine. Thanks for your time.
  6. Send pictures to wolfsburgedition@hotmail.com or just a link to what you have and how much you want for it. I need one with the light holders as I sold my valance a while ago. Thanks.
  7. I know it's been a while since you asked this question, but these look like "Sebring" mirrors that have been modified by taking the base off. I can't swear to it, but they look just like my Sebrings on my VW Gaybriolet. I got mine for about $100 for a pair. If you look on ebay under Sebring mirrors they should "pop up." I hope this helps.
  8. Hey, I really like the way your car looks with that paint job. I am in the process of doing my car from soup to nuts and if you got that for $3K...more power to you. One question, what size are your wheels and do you rub and if so, what did you do about it? Ok, that's more than one question. Thanks for your time.
  9. Looks like you are doing a nice job. What kind (and size) are those wheels?
  10. Hi guys, Not really sure what I should be doing here. When I bought my 73 240 the rear had a nice little crimp in it http://rubyz.shutterfly.com/pictures/14. I was given a patch panel with the car in case I wanted to cut out the bad part and re-weld the new one in. After speaking to a few people who have more knowledge than I do, they suggested that I just bang out the crimp and "fix" it. Well, I banged it out and have a nice little crease toward the wheel well http://rubyz.shutterfly.com/pictures/21. I have tried a hammer and dolly, but...well, let's just say I'm not all that good with it and it's hard to get to...at least for me. I have thought about "lead" or just cutting it like I originally was going to. Please, any ides you have would be greatly appreciated. If you can't see the pictures, please let me know and I'll get that taken care of. Thanks...Justin
  11. Hi all, I am a bit of a newbie in the Z world and I have a few questions about tie rods and ball joints. I just got a shipment from Black Dragon and all the parts are from Taiwan (I don't know what I was expecting). My question is this, is it "OK" to run these Taiwan parts if I'm going to be tracking this car. Mind you, if I'm lucky (really lucky), I'm going to get on the track 3-4 times a year so I know I don't need an AZC front end, but am I risking my life with those parts? I do intend to give this car a proper thrashing...that is why we build them isn't it?? Forum member z-ya was kind enough to hip me to these guys (http://suspension.com/nissan240z.html) and I'm thinking of going that way. I also contacted Courtesy Nissan in Texas and they have OEM, but it's about $400. Yikes!! Any ideas would be helpful. I did do a search and found a few things, but didn't see anything specific to this topic. Thanks for your help.
