  1. Miller's lower priced tig machines are not up to par with Thermal Arcs machines. Here is a link to their 185 which is very portable and overly capable compared to anything in the price range. This goes the same for any of their products. They offer a better warranty than either Lincoln or Miller and in my mind a better product. Especially for the price.
  2. As the afore mentioned vicegrips, or a cut off tool. If you go with the later just be careful. Cut through the middle of the bolt/nut until you reach the flange. Then use a chissel to shear it off. This method will reduce the risk of damage to the flange.
