  1. They ARE the same strength and I wouldn't plan on one for my purposes, but a RB20 tranny will stand up to the power of a stock of mildly modified RB26 on a street car for a good long while. I've seen it quite a few times. Now if you are putting drag slicks on a stock RB26 and beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of it on the track every weekend, it ain't going to last.
  2. As far as strength, I think an RB20 box will stand up behind a stock or even mildly bolted on RB26. I think you COULD bust one with the stock twins maxed out if you are really beating on it and had some sticky tires and what not, but for a daily driver, not to many mods, and street tires, it should last for a good long while.

  4. There are also AWD RB25 blocks from both n/a R33 GTS4's and Stagea station wagons.
  5. IIRC the SR20 makes better tourqe than the RB20. Even if it didn't, SR's are a lot lighter, and aftermarket parts in the states are way easier/cheaper to get for them. People don't even waist much time on them over here when they are already in the car. Go RB25/26, or don't bother with an RB unless you are just stuck on the idea of having an RB for as cheap as possible. Just my $.02
  6. I am having the same issues with my RB25 Power FC right now. I've got a D-jetro in the mail, but just something you might want to try; we put a smaller 2.5" pipe inside my 4" intake pipe. Fitted it so it was surrounding the MAF element. It's straight and about 4" long. It really seemed to help on the turbulence. Made it a lot easier to tune and got rid of a lot of the hesitation and strage idle after lift.
  7. Never messed with a swap into an S30, but I completely agree with blaze.
