  1. Thanks for the info Brad. I am going to use Brian's mounting kit. I believe the oil pan I am referring to is the same as the one you are using if you have a dual sump. That is the same style of pan the Foxbody's use and ford makes a retro kit for the 351w for the Foxbody. I will be using EFI as I alreay have a set up and don't mind the hood issue. One more thing did you use 351w headers or 302 header? Thanks, Kon
  2. I was wondering if there are any local memebers with a Ford conversion willing to show their car and maybe take me for a ride . I want to start a Ford conversion thought it wouldn't hurt to ask to see one close up. I am located in San Jose and willing to drive a couple of hours if need be to see a car. Thanks!
  3. I am wondering how many folks here have 351w's in their z. What mounts and headers are you guys running. From what I can tell by reading other posts here the main issue is the oil pan. I had a 351w foxbody...shouldn't I be able to use the same pan kit from Summit or Ford Racing to solve that issue? I also don't mind having to cut the hood if need be for EFI. I have an EFI set up by may want to go the carb route. Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks man. That is exactly i was looking for. I know i can't get a dead on answer, but this is perfect. Keep them coming guys.
  5. Hi Guys, I am new to this site as a memeber, but i been checking out the site for a while now. Tons of helpful info here . I am thinking about starting a V8 project. The car in mind is a 75 260, that i may get for free. I am going to go and take a look at it. Will post pics this weekend. How much does the average build cost? I want to use the JTR kit and will be using SBC and T5. I know what it costs to source the engine and tranny, but i need help to figure out the rest. Basically to have the car drive and shift and have working gauges. I have done research on suspension and brakes. EDITED: Thanks for the replies. What i am looking for is just to get the car running and drivable. I am stricktly looking for the cost to mount engine, all cooling and exhaust. The correct rear (r200), driveshaft ect.. Also the chasis (what shoudl be done and how much). I have access to a welder and plasma cutter. Goal it to have a daily driver that can handle and stop well at the end. I will be doing all work myself. Any help is much appreciated.
