  1. Thanks for the FSM. I haven't been able to locate the relay yet. It's confusing the crap out of me. It says that it's in the kick panel on the passenger side, but all there's only a fuse box there. It's pathetic that I can't find the dumb relay. I know my computer is fried because it'll start up but get really really hot. I have another one already but I looked up the JECS number and found that it was off an automatic 82 while mine is a manual 83. Shouldn't work right? I tried changing the AFM but it still has the same problem. This time I noticed fuel coming out of my exhaust pipe. I think that the car has done this before in my other trials but I just never noticed. Either that, or the engine has accumulated so much fuel that it has flooded into my intake/exhaust manifold....? Could injectors get fried by reversing polarity? I havn't measured the fuel pressure yet, but I've checked all the vacuum lines on the regulator and it's fine. I'm for sure getting too much fuel because after the engine stalls out, I have to take off the plugs and crank the motor to get all the fuel out. A LOT of gas comes out. Thanks for the input fellas. I appreciate it
  2. Hey everyone, I am having some engine trouble and was wondering if anyone can help me out. It's a 1983 280ZX Turbo. So this car was running decent a few weeks back. It just stuttered a little bit at 3000-4000 rpm range. Everything else was working fine. I left the car parked for a couple of weeks and the battery drained. My brother needed to move the car so he jumped it, only he reversed the wires. Of course the fusible link broke and has since then been replaced. Here's what I have done so far. I smelled the silicon buring and found that my PCM get real hot when the car is "idling" so I borrowed another one and popped it in. I crank my engine and it starts but I chokes after a few minutes. The engine will stay running at idle but it's really rough. If I apply any throttle to it, the engine sputters out and dies. I removed my spark plugs and saw tha they are all black and soaked with gas. So then I remove the injector plugs and crank the engine until the gas is out. I replace the plugs and restart it only to find the same thing happening. I removed the plugs once more and check the compression. They all check out across the board at around 135 psi. I've checked the full pressure regulator lines and everything is plugged in properly. I try it again but same thing happens. It only idles but sputters when throttle is applied. I checked out ALL DATA to find the fuel pump relay but their diagram does not match my car for some reason. I'm going to check the injectors tomorrow, but besides that, I'm all out of ideas. Here are a couple of questions that I have, which are shown in the pics attached Which one is the fuel pump relay? Relay box is located on the passenger side fender to the right of the battery . There is an extra 2 wire plug. Where does it go? Any advice you all can give me will help me out a great deal. Thanks ahead of time.
