  1. do you have a map i could use for a haltech f10x?

  2. I had built a 76 280z with an 82 Turbo engine with a stock oil cooler adapter (came in automatic turbos 280zx) piped to a Rx7 Oil Cooler. My original swapped in F54 Block cracked on me and I was unable to source another Turbo block so I decided to use a N42. I had finished most of the assembly and was putting on the oil cooler adaptor when I noticed there was two oil bypass passages, one in the block (normal) and one in the adaptor (also normal). So I walked over to my old useless block and noticed what appears to be a slug in the block to block off the bypass relief valve. I would like to use the oil cooler since its already in installed in the car and it can't hurt to use it...so: 1. Can I install the stock oil filter adaptor with both oil bypass relief valves? Or will they somehow cancel each other out, or bypass too much oil? Looking at the how the oil travels in the block it doesn't seem to be a problem but I want to make sure. 2. If I need to put a plug in, any idea what size it is (19mm?) or where I can get one? 3. If I don't need a plug does anyone know why it was done that way at the factory (just curious)? Thanks for your input!
  3. Would anyone using Haltech be willing to send me a base map to get me started with getting my Z-Car running? Here are my specs: 83 Turbo Engine with NA Cam, E11v2, 550CC Injectors, Stock Turbo dumb Ignitor and Coil, Intercooler, Garrett GT30R Turbo, Stock 83 280zxT Distributor. My 76 Turbo swap is almost ready to start and a map would be greatly Appreciated! William
  4. I am installing a e11v2 in my 76 turbo swap. I have installed the wiring and I am ready to start setting up my ECU, but I can't connect to it. I have done the basic checks such as making sure the ECU has power and com ports are set on the correct settings. I am using a serial to usb adapter that I know works because it works without a hitch with my wideband (com port 1). The wideband is getting power from the ECU. I have the settings in halwin set to com port one and the usb serial adapter to com port one. I have also tried three other com ports (2-4) with no avail. I have also tried using a friends computer but that doesn't work either. Am i missing something here? Or is it possible that I have somehow gotten a bad ECU. Thanks for your input.
  5. I am currently wiring my haltech e11v2 into my 76 280z turbo swap. I am using an 83 ignitor and distributor. Can I use the stock ignitor with my haltech and how do I wire it correctly, and do I wire the ignitor to the coil as it was stock. Thanks.
  6. Here is an update on the 2+2. I decided to not to get it because of several reasons. Being a S.C. car it was full of rust. The rust had almost gone through the floor pans and the frame rails were rusted out at some points. The rear end was involved in an accident which accounts for the 20 pounds of bondo trying to cover it up. The engine was put in too far foward using metal brackets as engine mounts. I dont know how the engine runs because it wouldn't start. The car still had the stock radiatior trying to cool the engine. I didn't see one extra piece of metal put in to support the frame. And lastly the interior was non existant but he had alot of replacement carpet in the year. Plus the car needed to be painted. So I think it would take way too much money to get the car to even look like a junker. Thanks for your inputs, it has helped me make my decision. Not a steal by any means.
  7. Hi. This is my first time on this site. I own a 76 n.a. 280z so im familiar with the z community. I have the opprotunity to buy a 77 280z with a 350 with a blower on it... for 1500 dollars. I havent looked at the car in daylight yet but I wasn't real happy with what I saw. For example the hood was all cut up nasty and the rear end of the car was all jacked due to somebodys failed attempt to change the way the taillights looked. So im alittle afraid of the rest of the fabrication. My question is: other than the normal z issues like rust what should I look out for concerning how the 350 was put in the car and all the various conversions that had to take place. I wouldn't mind having a z with a 350 in it...but I dont want it if its crap. Thanks for your replies.
