Many years ago we have used many different heavy duty race clutch sets in are 240-280ZX's. We have always used stock factory or after market clutch masters with no problems. The after market pressure plate you use with the throw out bearing might have different clearance than a stocker. You might have to use an adjustable rod on your clutch slave.

Have you checked your fuel pressure? Bad sensors will make your engine run rich too. Forget the fuel relay? sounds like your getting plenty of fuel.

Thanks for the reply. But I want to use my stock coil springs and I have the tools and have done this before on a few 240's. But that was many years ago and I have forgotten the cut the spring ratio. Anyone out there have a recent memory on this matter?

1983 280ZX. What is the electronic round switch with two terminals behind/under the Air Regulator on the intake manifold? Also the two blue wires connected to this switch, one yellow stripe and the other has a white stripe, what is the correct color code connection to the switch?

I want to lower my 280ZX using the stock coil springs. How much of the coil spring do you cut off to lower the car 1 inch? I have all the tools and it is fairly a simple procedure that I have done in the past but have forgotten the ratio. My Springs and Struts are in excellent/new condition and vehicle is used for a daily driver.
