  1. Alright L series engine gurus - need help. identify this head! Its a N42 head, but it has external oil squirters for cam and ROUND ports! And one bracket on the side that is not common on L series heads... What can this be? Started reading on forums but theres no clear info about this, only one guy asking the same thing as i do .... Ports it self on the head are square, just at the end they finish up just like some sort of round sleeves... But ports are not welded, they are casted this way... This head came of 78' 280z automatic, head was changed for sure as it was looking fairly clean on the engine...
  2. Sourced another set on Yahoo auctions This time got them for 450$. It seems that some one in Japan has been producing them - thats for sure because they are not OEM ones, but the quality is superb!
  3. Got the off Yahoo.auctions.jp - and really cant remember seller details Keep an eye on the auctions, and they pop-up time from time there.
  4. Got my Gnose covers on Yahoo.auctions for 450$. Original ones. And another set i paid 950$ But it seems some one in Japan started reproducing them, because the ones that i got look just like real deal, but they come without any Nissan boxing or part numbers etc...
  5. Yes i did. Push rod / pedal has maximum travel. Its not the case in these things.
  6. Yes i did... Saw this topic long time ago, and im already thinking abotu going this route, but still need to figure out my damn issue...
  7. After lots of readings - found out that stock master cylinder has check valve in REAR portion of it - that keeps a bit of pressure on the rear line? So this might be the answer for my problem?
  8. Well - as i got my Z - original 17/18 master cylinder along with the servo - was shot... cylinder was coroded to death - and as i had no quick options to get a replacment (i live in Europe - where Z's are quite rare - and getting parts for them means buing everything from USA...) i used brake cylinder from S14 (non ABS 15/16 one) along with re-worked to fit brake vacum. And as i re-did all the brake lines also - i droped off the NP valve away - thinking that i will not be needing it as i will be running non-abs cylinder with proportion valve inside (mistake?). And from that point - i can not get brakes to work at all... Bleeded them 10 times and no air is in system, but brake pedal goes totaly to the flor with only SLIGHT pressure on the calipers at the first press, second press - it gets better, and on the third - brakes seems to be normal. I let pedal off - sit for a sec, and again - pedal goes all the way to the flor... I tryed to adjust rear cylinders that calipers would barely touch drums - no better... While pressing pedal first time - its clearcly visible that fuid level drops, second press - drops a bit again - and once i let the pedal off - fluid level starts toping. At first - i thought about master cylinder beeing shot - and took another one - same problem again... Tryed 3 different types of cylinders - and same problem persist Anyone have ANY ideas? Did i made a huge mistake droping NP valve away? Thanks for any help!
  9. Will go with 215/55 instead of 205/50 - and it will be a bit better too now tires are a bit too small if compared to rear ones... Thx by the way
  10. SSR Formula mesh reverse 15x8 +3 AME mesh 15x10 -20 Still need spacers to run bit more flush on the front, rear ones are just perfect.
