As some of you know we were part of a product development with Mfactory. The whole point of this was to bring the R200 more helical LSD options. This production was a great success with the help of great members of this community. The original thread is here. They are currently for long nose R200s with 10mm and 12mm Ring gear bolts. Accepts 29 spline stub axle shafts.

Some key points about MFactory and their Helical LSD.

Forged, Double Tempered and Super Sub-Zero treated for unsurpassed toughness

Advanced Shot Peening technology increases surface hardness

Designed to withstand the extreme shock loads of competition-level Drag Racing

Advanced gear geometry designed using industry-leading software puts more power to the ground

Only the highest quality Brighton-Best Hardware is used

Maintenance-free Gears eliminates the need for special fluids & rebuilds associated with plate-type LSDs (I personally use AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w-90)

Hey everyone. I developed and 3d printed an adapter to go from the vintage air mini gen II tube to the center vent on the 280z and figured others might want to utilize it as well. I'm figuring $20 and it's shipped to your door (U.S., I don't know about international shipping).

for mine I mounted it in a carbon fiber center section so I also can include the stands to offset the air vent and a cut template to utilize.

I started this project a few months ago after trying to buy a set of Woza's brackets, but since he stopped making them I had to do it myself.

Started off making the steel brackets to use the wilwood mechanical spot calipers (120-2280,2281) I made the brackets and mocked everything up. I was unable to figure out a way to stop the calipers from rattling (I hate rattles) so I scrapped that idea and decided to make a new set using wilwood's new MC4 mechanical parking brake calipers.

Made from 6061 aluminum, they are much lighter than my original steel design.

My brake hats are JSK hats which have a 24.5mm offset so the brackets should work with other kits that run the same offset.

I made the first set for myself, and am happy with the way they turned out. Would anyone else be interested in a set?

HybridZ was instrumental in creating a life-long hobby for me, so I feel like this is the least I can do to give back. Last time we did this we had 90+ orders and raised more than $1200 to go towards server upgrades and hosting costs, which Dan normally pays for out of pocket. 100% of the profits will go towards maintaining HybridZ!

This will work just like it has in the past and I am using the same screen printing shop. The T shirt options have changed to a different brand, but I asked them to keep the style/quality as close as possible. Our order minimum is 36 pieces, so I will take orders for two weeks after we hit that threshold. I'll do my best to ship orders as soon as I get shirts, but please don't expect Amazon Prime level service from me. I'm just a guy with toddlers and a job doing this on my lunch breaks 😅

	VINTAGE CARBON
Pre-order Opportunity - NEW S30 CARBON FIBER FRONT GRILL!

We have been cooking here at Vintage Carbon! We are going to be coming out with an ALL NEW Carbon Fiber S30 Grill! To our knowledge, this will be the First Ever Carbon Fiber Grill made for the Datsun S30 Platform!

We are going to incorporate the Thick Outer Border similar to the Fairlady 432 Style Grille, while keeping the OEM "V" shape and OEM style straight across Slats all made completely of Carbon Fiber!! The slats will be thicker so you can really see the Carbon Weave from the front. We are also going to extend the overall height about 3 inches to make sure it covers as much as possible with a front air dam installed. We are going to ensure the vents are spaced equal to OEM so air flow will not be affected. It will be different from anything out there, more aggressive yet reminiscent of OEM but made of Carbon Fiber right here in So Cal, USA!! These will really add style to any S30 Z Front End!!

What do you guys think? We will be accepting pre-orders for a heavy discount off Retail cost for the first 10 people.

We are currently working on a high quality render as we speak! Hoping to have that ready by the end of this week.

Next week my machinist will be cutting one pair of side axles (stub axles) that will fit in the 27 spline 2004/2005 Subaru WRX STi R180 rear CLSDs and 2006 VLSD. The flange end of the these side shafts will bolt up to the stock 240Z halfshafts. This pair is the prototype and will be made from 4140, heat treated, etc.

What I need is someone who can test these for me starting in mid-June. That means you must have the Subaru diff in hand (or can get one quickly) and have a running, driving, reliable car that can put some street and track miles on it in a short time. That's a tall order but you'll get to keep these side axles if you follow through and send me feedback, pictures, and measurements.

Today I read the terrible news that Dan is considering shutting down HybridZ due to the ongoing costs of operating the site and the decrease in ad revenue. This is the best way I know how to contribute, so 100% of the profits from this round of apparel is going directly towards maintenance and server upgrade costs!

Last round things took longer than expected to get rolling to hit the minimum order needed, so keep that in mind. For this round I'll be taking orders as we get them. Payment is due at the time of the order. Once we hit the minimum I'll continue taking orders for 1 week and then place the order with the screen printer. If at any time you don't want to wait any longer your order will be refunded immediately.

He's got a boatload of great tech videos from SU carb tuning to vintage 240z gauge modifications and everything in between. His information may be a bit basic for those with tons of experience working on these old Datsuns, but I've found his channels and website super helpful so just speading the knowledge!

“Resurrecting the Legend – The Real Datsun Scarab Story,” is a meticulously researched 104 page book documenting the history of the Scarab Engineering Company and its cars from 1975-81. Over the years there have been many myths perpetrated that are addressed and refuted in the book. The book is based on personal interviews with the company’s founders and employees, all of whom had gone underground more than 35 years ago. The development of Brian Morrow’s very first Scarab is chronicled as well as the events at each of the three shop locations, leading up to the company finally being sold. With nearly 90 color photographs and illustrations, the book defines what a Scarab is and its roll in automotive history. By the mid-1970s, domestic muscle car performance had been emasculated, and by association so had the egos of their drivers. The Scarab was so much more than a Datsun Z-car with a transplanted Chevrolet V8 engine: it was a completely re-engineered automobile, with each system and component carefully considered, improved or replaced, to realize Morrow’s goal of creating a well-balanced machine capable of shaming all comers. Road Test magazine said it best when it wrote, “Subtle as a chain-link jock strap, the Scarab will not only blow 99 percent of the cars on the road in the weeds, it’ll do it in style.”

Conversion kit for Datsun tachometers based on the Smiths RVI tacho

In the 60's Datsun made a replica of the Smiths RVI tachometer under licence.

These tachometers were current triggered and besides now dying from old age, tend not to work with electronic ignition or ECUs.

Since 2003 we have been making and selling kits to replace the electronics of these tachos

We also fit the kits for people without the time, confidence or skill to fit the kit.

There are two version of the kit, one fits inside the case, the other is slightky easier to fit and sits in a box beside the tachometer.

Both are triggered by coil / square wave ECU output / or alternator "W" terminal

the internal kit fits on the existing bolt holes on the movement and allows calibraton from outside the case.

The first two kits are appropriate for the Smiths based tacho Link to Spiyda Tacho Page

	Hey everyone!

I don't know if you know me but my name is Mike Garcia and I am owner/builder of the Overkill Z. Years ago when I was building my car while searching for an engine mount for my S30 I came across John Coffey here on HybridZ. After looking at the other options I instantly felt his was the best designed and strongest option. I bought one and used it in my build. We became friends but missed the opportunity to buy the cross member JIG before his passing.

However fait has a funny way of working.... I recently moved to Southern California when I saw the Jig was up for sale down in San Diego. I made the 4 hour round trip the next day and bought the Jig with the sole purpose of making the cross members for the community.

I am one guy with a Jig and the resources to REPRODUCE these cross members Just as John designed! These will be MADE TO ORDER and will be low production numbers to insure a QUALITY product.

So Just as I came across John you have now come across me. They will come as raw metal for ease of welding with the original instructions. YES these can be bolted in by drilling holes through the rails and cross member.

Price $350 a unit plus shipping to your door step. Happy building!

These are made for OEM 2jzgte engine mounts. People have used These for 1jzgte,vvti,GE swaps but may of had to swap out mounts. The 4bolt pattern is the same however the mount brackets vary.

	Message me for orders.
