  1. I am looking to do aftermarket seats in my 280Z as well, what seats did you go with?
  2. has not set their status

  3. I won't spoil it for everyone else but that was great! I tough ebay censors were all over that kind of stuff. I misses it the first time I looked at the pics, had to go back for a second pass and then WHAMOO hit me in the face like bad gas! Funny!
  4. Here are the before and after shots of my 1970 turned bracket racer!
  5. The 8.8 swap is not that bad, we did it on our drag car with Jegs SS ladder bars, Jegs track rod and cross member kits, competition engineering coil overs and a 8.8 from a 1993 Mazda B4000 4x4. We had the rear narrowed to narrowed 54.5" flange to flange and used two drivers side axles that put the pumpkin almost dead center in the tunnel. We are running 15 X 10 rims with ZG flares that look simply bad-ass! We did not tub it and are running 29 X 11.50 X 15 slicks out back. Pics in this thread. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119147
  6. Thanks man, we had been busting our buts to get this thing on the track. It felt good to get it out there and let it stretch it's legs a bit. As for the NOS, sorry man.......we are NA all the way!
  7. We finally took it to the track this last Friday for it's shakedown runs. Best time was 12.8 @ 109. This was without any tuning and since I forgot the timing light we could not get the timing set either. Found out that we are running lean, but not so lean as to be breaking up on the top end. We are also battling the stock converter that is WAAAAY too tight for our motor. My 60 foot times were in the 2.1 to 2.6 second range, it really bogs out of the hole. Sorry I did not get any photos, left the camera at home along with a whole bunch of other stuff! Next step is to get the carb sorted out and try it again, this time I will remember all the tools I need!
  8. I went to a local drive shaft shop and had a new shaft made. I supplied the front yoke and they made the rest for about $200.00 including tax and labor. This was with new solid ujoints and a Ford 8.8 rear flange. I would have a new shaft made with your front yoke and get the Datsun to Chevy rear flange as mentioned above. Any good drive shaft shop should be able to get it for you.
  9. Sounds like a nice combo, let us know how the t-56 goes. I was looking into putting one of those in my street car. Also some photos would be cool too!
  10. I had been posting progress our drag car project in the Ford V8 forum (because it's got a Ford in it ) but I figured I would post a link to the tread and my web album here as well. Here is our build thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119147 Here is a link to my web album with all of our progress photos: http://picasaweb.google.com/eric.harrald/HybridZPhotos Enjoy! Eric
  11. Thanks man! Yeah, I like the Cobra valve covers too but these were free! And the air cleaner was a last minuet compromise due to clearance issues with our MSD distributor. We had a pretty wicked ware leak from the t-stat housing so it is torn apart right now. Should have it back together this weekend to finish up the wiring and start assembly of the body panels. Also, I should get my drive shaft today from the shop. Had them make a new custom shaft, it was actually cheaper than having the one I got shortened. I will snap some more pics this weekend and post them for sure! Later.
  12. Hey MY77Z, sorry I have not been able to get you the drawing of our cross member yet. It is really very simple, I will try to take some measurements and see if I can bust our something in MS Paint tonight for ya. thanks for the good comments, much appreciated. Eric
  13. Hey, what is going to be left after you are finished? I may be interested, I am local as well (Elk Grove).
