The body shop molded in a PVC coupling and the fog lamp housing fit right in.

Thanks, It is a Type 1 Air Dam from TheZStore. I had a couple of BMW Fog Light Housings molded in during the body work.
  3. Just the one picture is uploaded at present. It is somewhat bigger as shown within my galley of pictures. I will take some higher quality ones over the next week or so and upload.
  4. Rich's Performance Muffler in Wylie, TX. He built out my 3" mandrel exhaust for my LSx swap. Very good work.
  5. I have not done anything special other than disconnect from battery. The only time that I have disconnected the harness from the PCM is when I was welding something on the car. Even then I have had no problems.
  6. I utilized a 2002 TransAM steering shaft. It is a Double D Connector. I had to go from that to a splined. I just took the chevrolet OEM connector and then transitioned to a splined setup. I do not know what the datsun will require. I dont have that steering shaft laying around any more as I got rid of it.

  7. Thanks much for your response. What did you have to do and GET (suppliers) for modification of your 280Z Datsun Steering Shaft? Is it a 28 spline shaft?

  8. I rewired my 280Z LS1 Build with a complete (entire car, not just engine harness) 2002 TransAM wiring harness. I am using the 2002 TransAm Fuel tank too thus the TransAM wiring allowed for OEM functionality of the purge/vent system. I gutted all the original 280Z fuel vapor cannisters and just capped the filler neck vent line connection. No issues with any fuel vapor smell.
  9. I installed a steering column out of a 2002 TransAm. It is a tilt column but not telescopic. It had what is called a Double D column connection. I ended up rerouting the entire steering linkage set up along the top of the frame rail and then dropping down into the subaru PS rack. I transitioned from the Double D end of the steering column to a splined set up. I utilized a vibration isolator, several ujoints, and two radial bearings to prevent looping in the steering shart.
  10. Well I searched figuring this question has been asked prior however I did not find an answer. Does anyone know where this type Air Dam can be purchased? Air Dam
  11. I replaced the entire car wiring harness with that of a 2002 TransAM wiring harness. It took considerable effort to identify all the circuits but with wiring diagrams it can be done. I now have VATS enabled, Power accessories and a possible future modification to ABS and Traction control. I did have to replace the steering column, and fuel tank with that of the TransAm too. If anyone desires to do such as I have done make sure that the steering column includes the key and matching body control module or BCM. With the VATS system the BCM reads the key resistance chip then sends a signal allowing the starter solenoid and fuel pump to operate. Once started the PCM must read a passcode from the BCM to keep the fuel pump in operation. Its all complex but interesting to learn about.
  12. As much as I dont want to, I need to remove myself from the header build list. I installed a Subaru PS rack along with a TransAm steering shaft. I routed all of my steering linkages straight down and atop the drivers side frame rail. After looking at the pictures I have little doubt that I will have interference issues between the steering linkages and the header tubes as they loop out and over the frame rail. I will just utilize the block huggers that I have currently installed. My 1978 LSx 280Z is off to the exhaust shop monday for a 3" mandrel bent exhaust. Once installed the car will be brought to LG Motorsports in Wylie, TX for a dyno tune. I will snap some pictures and post once the exhaust is complete! Sorry I could not follow through with this.
