  1. yea now im just waiting to pick up a ls1 or any gm genIII engine, that would be nice. would it be to much to add that i turned away and let my friend have a toyota 2JZ with some bent valves but no major unrepairable damage
  2. not sure yet. well im towing the car home probly tomarrow. ill have to see what kind of condition the engine is in. if you need a turbo engine i just listed one in the classifieds. it is out of a 83 it is super clean with only 60k. its missing the turbo and exhaust mani though.

  4. WELL TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY, SINCE WINTER IS HERE AND IM PUTTING THE 240Z AWAY FOR THE NEXT COUPLE YEARS TO START A GROUND UP RESTO ON IT IVE BEEN WONDERING WHAT ENGINE TO PUT IN IT. WELL I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT. I WORK FOR AT A MERCEDES DEALER THAT HAPPENS TO HAVE NISSAN ALSO. WELL ABOUT A MONTH AGO A TITAN CAME IN WITH A ROD NOCKING. ONLY 5k. AND IT KNOCKING? WELL THEY DROVE IT WITH A MISFIRE THAT CAUSED THE CATS TO OVER HEAT CAUSING IT TO COME APART AND GO BACK INTO THE ENGINE. WELL IT WIPED OUT 3 ROD BEARINGS BUT EVERTHING ELSE LOOKS UN DAMAGED. SO TODAY AFTER SEEING THAT ENGINE SIT SO LONG I TALKED TO THE HEAD NIISAN TECH AND HE TOLD ME TO GET IT OUT OF THERE. SO I LOADED THAT VK56 INTO THE BACK OF MY JEEP AND HEADED HOME BEFORE THE HE CHANGE HI MIND. THE DEALER SHIP OWNER ALSO GAVE ME A 81 280ZX TURBO THAT BEEN BEHIND OUR SHOP FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS FOR FREE ALSO ALL I HAD TO DO WAS MAKE IT DISSAPEAR. BODY IS SUPER RUSTY BUT HAS ALOT OF GOOD PARTS. NOT A BAD WEEK FOR ME
  5. right now it still has the stock l24 with a open header. tires are some now bald 14" bfg's.
  6. well redline launches and an open diff r180 dont mix. good thing this happend in front of my house. i got a r200 out of my z31 that i parted out that im puting in it. im going ahead with the cv's so i ordered the adapters from ross. mustache bar and correct pinion flange is on its way. cant wait to get this thing back on the road. check out the pics of the diff. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2207157/2
  7. Im Buying A Turbo Motor And Trans On Wed For My 240. I Have The Choice Of Either The Nissan Or Bw Trans. I Will Also Be Upgrading To A Z31 R200 When I Do The Swap. Will I Need The 280zxt Driveshaft Or Will My 240 Shaft Work? Will It Bolt Right Up To The R200? The Place Im Buying Off Of Has 3 Turbo Motors And 5 Speed Trans So Let Me Know If You Are Looking. Thanks

  9. He Wouldnt Give Me Any Other Specs On It. Im Going Back Down It A Couple Weeks Ill Try To Get More Out Of Him. He Said I Was The First Person Other Than Him And His Machinist To See It.
  10. Just Got Back From A Shop This Weekend To Drop My B16 For My Crx To Be Resleeved. Gut At The Shop Took Me For A Tour And Showed Me Their Cnc Machine. There Beside The Machine Covered In Plastic Was Thier 500ci Ls1 That They Just Finished. I **** My Pants. This Thing Was Buetiful. Had A Custom Around 1 Inch Cnc Deck Plate To Allow For The Larger Stroke With Custom One Off Darton Sleeves. Woulnt Let Me Take Any Pics Tough. Please Keep This On This Forum. He Said They Are Going To Be Super Charging This One And Also Building Another For The New Pontiac Solstice For The Same Customer.
  11. HERE IS THE HEAD OFF MY 72 Z. I GOT THIS CAR FOR A GOOD PRICE WITH WHAT THE OWNER THOUGH WAS A BLOWN HEADGASKET. WELL AFTER PULLING IT OFF I FOUND A NICE HOLE IN THE #2 CYL. I GO TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTHWESTERN OHIO FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE AUTO. SO I HAVE ACCESS TO A FULL MACHINE SHOP. I HAD THE HP WELDING TEACHER WELD UP THE HEAD, AND I DID THE REST OF THE MACHINE WORK. IT LOOKS GOOD NOW SO IM GETTING IT ON THIS WEEKEND AND ILL SEE HOW IT GOES.   12. its easy to do your self just start by smoothing all the ports and smooth out all the casting lines. it wont give you a tone of power but for a beginner it is a start. you must go with the right burrs for cutting other wist they will clog up
