  1. If you can not answer that question yourself then you should get a multi-meter at harbor freight for $2 and find the 12v source yourself, or do some searching and learn some more about cars because 12v sources are everywhere in your engine bay. And as for the automatic tranny I have no clue!
  2. Mine is filled with JB weld so it is not necessary for the car to run. The BCDD (boost controlled decelleration device) is an emmisions thing that keeps your rpms up when you push the clutch in above a certain speed (10 mph) for an allotted amount of time, most of them are broken and people either block them off or wire a constant 12v source to trick the BCDD into thinking its always under 10mph http://www.zcar.com/70-83_tech_discussion_forum/fixed_bcdd_high_idle_663909.0.html
  3. I have been searching for a new set of wheels for my 77 280z for a while now and I really like the xxr 527's but I was wondering with the car lowered 1" could I get the wheel to fit without running spacers. I don't have a problem rolling the fender either, its the strut perch im worried about. the wheels are 15x8.25 with a 0 offset. Thanks in advance. http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-15x8-25-XXR-527-Chromium-Black-Concave-Rims-4x114-3-?cmd=ViewItem&hash=item53e843b35b&item=360379036507&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_3606wt_1185
  4. There is a lip on the bushing around the inner diameter hole that lip faces toward the other bushing clamping to the control arm there should not be a washer in-between the bushing and the control arm. The order should be from the bottom going up, grade 8 bolt, washer, bushing lip facing up, control arm, bushing with lip facing down, washer, spacer, washer, bushing with lip up, sway bar, bushing with lip facing down, washer, and finally a nut. if you are putting in polyurethane don't forget to put on that horrible grease that acts more like glue, but stops it from squeaking which is the only down side i have found for that material when using it for suspension.
  5. I found some mesh wheels with a deep polished lip that I liked on craigslist for $60 the tires are crap but a set of 14x7 aluminum Wheels for $60 isn't bad, they were made in japan.. So has anyone ever seen them before. They are probably knockoffs. there is also a pic of the hub cap which looks like a brand sticker but it could be a sticker from anything. Sorry I dont know how to resize the pics so they might be a little large.
  6. Buy a new TPS, I had a similar problem with my 1977 and i installed a new TPS and she ran much better, if I were you I would buy an new harness as well(green wire is like rust for copper and no one likes rust in their Z), I think you can get them on ebay not 100% sure though,or replace all FI wiring then you wont have to worry about bad connections and shorts in your wiring, just be sure to use die electric grease.... not too much though just a thin layer does plenty.
