  1. Hi Guys,

I've been hanging around here for a while and figured I should start a build thread.

My last project was a 2001 SVT Cobra Convertible, I loved it but I wanted to have something more classic and something a little more budget friendly..yeah right! :)

I picked up this roller last year, no drivetrain or exhaust was included. It was driving before it was taken apart and also had to go through a government safety inspection due to being brought into Canada from the US

It looks to be in pretty good shape, the only rust I can see so far is in the dog legs, inner fender on the passenger side and the rad support.

I'd like to hear what you guys think of this a starting point, I'm undecided on a motor..but I'm leaning towards a L28ET set up. So feel free to chime in on that, and if anyone can identify which front spoiler that is I'd appreciate it

    Here are some pics;

  2. You know how that goes. 2 years of restoration. I'm really happy with the look of the car, but the 3.1L is just not strong enough for me. Yes it's quick and is more that needed, but I think at this point I am going V8. I just found a 5.0 mustang motor out of a 94 car, complete with ECU, harness, T5 tranny, driveshaft and everything I will need for 400.00. Can't pass that up. Check out my car domain site in the signature if you want to see the build in progress. Here is a list of what is in the car now:

3.1L stroker motor. No, I don't know how much power or torque it has.

N42 head with undercut valves and manifold gasket matching.

Isky 535" lift cam with 306 duration.

Megasquirt ECU with EV14 225cc injectors.

    Aluminum flywheel.

    Zoom ceramic racing clutch.

    Stock 4 speed.

    Tokico springs and adjustable shocks.

    Urethane bushings thruout.

17" wheels and rear disc upgrade.

Balance bar twin Tilton master cylinder brake upgrade from Betamotosports.

    Looks perfect to me...good job

  3. What size wheels and tires are those? the Rears seem to fit perfect without any stretch and still have a decent sidewall. Love the color and flares too they look great.

Beautiful car..i will be doing an overseas build as well...great inspiration...can you comment on the wheel/tire set up?
