Looks great Kuro! What are you wheel specs?
Thank you!

Not a very good picture, but I still like it.

No they are oversized flares

Body work is now done. It's at another shop right now getting an alignment. I'm getting random pics from friends that have been there taking pics of it. I'll post some soon.

Wheels decided to come in and as soon as they did we went to get the tires mounted, took them over to the shop and test fitted the flares with the wheels. Surprisingly, the measurements we took (for the wheels, with all those spacers remember?) , with some great help from my husband and friends in figuring out what sizing I needed, they fit pretty damn good. We just had to make some minor alignment adjustments for the fitting.
Naked
Wheel, No fender
Wheel, fender, flare and air dam – not lowered
Passenger side, lowered a respectable amount
Profile without flares
Can you say toe?
Rear, no flare, not lowered
One side, lowered (might need a tad bit more low in the rear to match the front, but we’ll see once everything is on).
Really needs an alignment!!! haha. (similar pic just a little brighter)
Pic of the wall (as reflected off of my fender) NICE!
Windshield going in….
Rear hatch window too!
Flares painted
Air Dam, bumper, mid section of spoiler
Side sections of spoiler, headlight scoops, blah blah blah…
Closer shot (before wetsand)
Sneak peaks
Sorry the first one was with my cell phone camera (don’t look at the brake booster and stuff in the engine bay. Just pretend it’s not there.)

..................Just catching this thread up to where my car is at now.......................
Look what came in not too long ago.
yeay!
Three piece spoiler ruffed up and ready for fitting…
Here we go, the first fender cut (albeit not to where it will be, better to cut a little and work your way up to the best fit).
Looks crooked but it’s not done….
testing, testing……
Drivers side, roof and hatch are primed now
Test wheel is on rear now for flare fitment…..(yes I know the tire is small – it’s just a test, stretch and overall size are enough to get an idea when fitting the flares).
These babies came in on Friday!
My buddy Clive took this shot when sanding was in progress, love it!!!
Front Lower Control Arms and Tension Control Rods came in today~ 3/25
Installed the suspension parts
Front
Rear
And the flares are going on!!!
Front
Rear – inner and outer welded together
The radiator support was very rusted along the rear side (limited to that area for some reason). That is now fixed.
Fenders removed to get any rust taken care of underneath….
Block sanded
Getting primed (final coat)

You should see his build thread, it's crazy!!!! Just search for his username on google, I'm on my phone or else I would have posted it..

I shared it out in facebook a few weeks ago

Will do, but my coils have to arrive first haha.
NO! NOW!!!!
lol, of course!
-
that's a great idea, let us know how you go about it.

How will you guys solve the strut bar issue? a welded in one? 10/8? isn't that like 350z stiff
Yeah I have the same question, honestly I haven't investigated that yet, but I want to find out too.

Looks good Christine! I just picked up a set a couple weeks ago. Still waiting on some parts but I hope to get them in at the end of the month. I was windering about them rusting out on me, but I think the ones I got are coatedbecause the threads are super smooth and doesnt feel like bare metal. I hope.haha
If they are coated, the threads will look silver, not gold. You'll know right away.
If they're not, I wouldn't worry, just make sure you put some grease on the exposed threads every so often so they don't rust. Mine are not coated either, I'm sure it's gonna be awhile before the non-coated ones get sold out of circulation.

I got the GR+ for the s13 (which now looks like Stance changed the name to "Super Sport +") spring rates are 8k/6k and in my opinion it's a nice ride. Not too stiff (I have dampening set in the middle) and not too soft. I've been in much stiffer suspension setups and I hate it! I think it fits well with the s30 if you like comfortable. I haven't put it on the highest dampening yet, I probably will once my flares and wheels are on, I'll let you know how it feels then.

She had been painted at least once after the original paint (over the original paint).
So far everything is still pointing to her being originally black, at least from most of the car that I’ve inspected (I’m cautious to verify that she was an original black).
There was some lower body work done at some point also, probably due to rust. Leo will be taking a look as he works to let me know what he’s finding.
Here's what she has under the paint - it hasn't been taken down past the surface rust yet, but you can see where he did take it down near the very rear.

So here’s a couple of pics of what the 280z looks like with the park bench bumper removed. As you can see there’s some big holes left behind and it’s quite ugly. Although people do tend to leave it like that and that’s perfectly fine – I think it gives it some character. But in the end, I want the body hole-less.

I was just wondering if anyone is running Stance coilovers on their S30? I can get the SuperSports for about $1000. I was also looking at Megan tracks but I can't make up my mind. I want a good performing coilover but I also want to go low without using fender flares. Thanks for the help!
Matt
I have Stance on my 280z. I don't have it lowered much though because I still need to get the exhaust done. It drives well though. Stance now makes zinc plated threads on the damper, so make sure you get those otherwise you're going to have rust issues on the threads.

After (Still not lowered all the way)
Post pics of your z's here!!
