The 240mm set up will fit as the 225mm

Sounds great Tim. I will attempt to follow your lead with a T56. I really wanted to put a cd009 350z trans with my RB26, but nobody seems to have done it yet and tell how they did it.
-
No, I don't have them installed yet - just sent the tach back to add the engine and brake warning lights
Here's a few of the Speedo mounted in the stock gauge housing:
... I just had to file down the ribs on the retaining ring until it was a snug fit in the gauge pod, then I drilled three small pilot holes around the periphery where the ribs were contacting the pod and added three small screws to hold everything in place. Couldn't have asked for a better fit!Yea Tim, those are going to look nice in your Z.
I could swear I saw some nice azz gauges in you car before. Blacked out and very colorful when on. Am I mistaking?

Awesome, can't wait for mine to get made....
TimZ, do you have any pics showing your dash with the speed hut gauges installed?

How about for a 74 260, not a 84....

PM me your info and I'll get it headed your way.

Let me look in my rb26 hoard stash. Pretty sure I saved a couple. Get back to you later on....

If it doesn't have a o-ring, I'd make a gasket or use some oem quality liquid gasket maker to be sure it don't suck air....

Saw these on ebay and just wanted to know if anyone has installed these in their Z.
I have a brand new pair that just arrived yesterday. I pulled one from the box and sat in it. I'm 215lbs x 6' and I'm sorry to say, my wide azz won't fit at the hips...
Other than that, I'd use them. They are up for grabs if you are thinner than me. If I were still a 34" waist, I'd keep them...
These are whats in my car now.

I knew I saw a write up on this. Check it out...

Moved it over to the member project section for you ...

You're in luck - sort of...
I've currently got my dash pulled on my '78, but I've also pulled the heater box but not the A/C portion. If you don't mind waiting for a bit I can get some pics for you. Or if you need something specific maybe I can get it now...
I'd appreciate any/all pics of dash removed Tim. I bought a complete VintageAir unit to replace the factory heating/air con unit. Whenever you can is fine with me. Thank You Tim!!

I guess i should just give up then... Seriously, Why are you arguing with me about this?Would I like to have an original set to go off of? Yes. Is it necessary? No. Have I seen closeup pictures? Yes. The gentleman that provided me tracings of his also provided plenty of pics. I've seen several sets in person. I have other pics. Far more complicated parts have been made with less. Did you even read my posts? I mentioned countersinking the holes Read my post I mentioned the gaskets. They are not complicated parts to make. Hardest thing is forming the trim ring. I think that is what has stopped people in the past. I will use a fabrication technique that is very common to make them. Will they be equivalent to the originals. Yes or I won't sell them. No one is forcing you to buy a set, please stop being so negative.
And yes the mounting holes varied over the years. (Nissan outsourced these parts)
Please keep your sights strait ahead Chris....

Well, you chose a dam good car to start out with at such a early age. Sounds like you have the smarts to turn it into a thumper. Just do alot of reading here on HZ, and you will learn what and how to make it a sweet ride...

I would love to be your first customer
Do you have a guess for the price?
