    Car is fixed!

Very Nice. Glad you got everything back together. Looks great.
  5. Glad that flasher worked out for you Phantom. Everything looks great. I am jelly.
  6. Congrats, I personally wouldn't reuse the pin. Spindle pins aren't too expensive. And yes antisieze the hell out of the pin. I have attempted to remove spindle pins from 3 sets, so out of 6 pins, only successful on 4 and broke 1 spindle puller. Eventually may need to do another set on my current Z.
  7. Living in the South, AC is a must. I don't like that the only bearable time driving my Z is in the evening or early mornings. I have been debating on which direction to go with an AC system. Evap coil under the dash was replaced 2 years ago and rest of the system was in good order working order prior to the LS1 swap. My Z is a 78 280z with LS1 from a 99 camaro with a 4l60e using the JCI equipment. 3 routes I was debating was: Factory System - Purchase the JCI AC parts to get it working - I seen pictures of Phantoms Vintage Air - I think socorob uses this setup and I like it - AC place in Texas - http://autoacsolutions.com/ - These guys offer a kit for the datsuns that look comparable to the Vintage system for $1300 Easiest would be the JCI route, but longevity is only as good as the older parts are in working order? The other 2 are more or less current stand alone systems with at least newer technology and components. Just wanted thoughts and opinions on what AC systems everyone else has installed before I make my decision.
  8. Not sure how well that insulator stuff works. Any kind of heat/noise barrier is a plus in my book. I just recently put hushmat under 80% of the passenger and driver sides and it was an amazing difference. I can actually talk to my wife without raising my voice. Jute pad is just for cushion mostly and can trap moisture if it gets wet. I tossed my padding personally.
  9. I seen this one on the gulf coast: http://gulfport.craigslist.org/cto/5042565408.html
  10. I was using the 3M 5895 Repair kit on my dash. Results were decent, but never finished it because I ran out and never got around to buying more. Placed it on my to-do lists once I get closer to putting together an AC system.
  11. Rob, I used the same red hi temp ones from MSD. Haven't had any issues. Still have those socks I gave you?
  12. I had the same issue, I bought rubber and got rid of the prothane.
  13. Congrats Keith, that is awesome.

  15. Finished installing HIDs from Dapper and wanted to know how some of you guys hid your wiring. I was able to hide a lot of the wiring towards the battery using wire loom and existing wiring which cleaned that up, but towards the front where the ballast are it gets interesting and a bit tight. Currently I used double stick tape to hold the ballast down (and suppress some of the vibration) and tie wrapped the wires under existing looms and stuff. Just looking for some ideas and pictures to make it a cleaner install. If you have thought about upgrading, use Dapper Lighting's kit was pretty easy and quality was top notch. Instructions were good and detailed, only thing you need to know is that you have to cut out the back of housing to fit it correctly in a 280z. It really made a big difference from the stock setup and I can actually see driving down the road now.
  16. Use the Full editor options, it pops up on the bottom when you hit edit.

Amused you could almost fit that bunny in the Z.
  18. Very clean and nice. Great time to get it on the road too!
  19. Rob, if you want you can borrow the set of wheels off my roller if it doesn't sell on Tuesday, to test it out to see if it negates the current set.
  20. Ooooo nice and fuzzy and you finally stuck on your window crank!!! Looks good Rob.
  21. Glad you're ok and was able to walk away. Wife cringed when she seen me looking at the pictures. Hope everything goes well.
  22. 37 years is a nice long run with no cracks. Glad your getting it all touched up and repaired.
  23. Jamal I have a set of those also, just needs to be cleaned.
  24. I have both styles but no clue if either work, if interested.
