Here is a picture of the hatch bracket (drivers side) on a 1983 ZX base model. Don't know if this helps you at all but can't hurt either. This is behind the plastic side molding around the rear side window. The other is just for the ball stud that attaches to the hatch itself. The same ball stud is mounted at both ends.

I need some help for the T-Top sunshades (as in I don't have any). I have a 1983 280ZX NA 5sp and am looking for a pattern that someone with t-top sunshades could trace out and send me. I am hoping to make a set of shades that look somewhat original and 100% functional. I am in the process of doing a restore on this car and want it to look as stock as possible. It was running when I drove it into the garage last Feb to do body repairs. The typical rust under the driver seat, passenger seat, spare tire well, and under the battery holder, also found one spot on the firewall while fixing under the battery holder. All pieces cut out and new metal welded in. Now putting the insides back together. Its going much slower than expected but still moving forward. Oh yeah, around the windshield also. Waiting on paint before putting in a new windshield. Lots of fun but sometimes a bit frustrating. I just want to get it done and drive it! Thanks for any help. Mike
