Nope didn't give up. Sold the datsun and bought a mustang. All the goodies from the datsun are now in the mustang.

Solid axle for the win
-
Don't know what's blown yet but metal in the valve cover and at least 1 dead cylinder.

Another engine bites dust.....

^^bahahaahahaahahahahahahaha. Understood.

Tell you what pay for mine and I'll do yours.

I'm in burleson about 10 min from kennedale. Once I have a cage a harnesses she will go to the track and once I learn how to drive according to Thezguy. That guy is a **** smuggler by the way......bahahahahaha. I'm down for some racing though next time your up. I'm sure at some point dom will make me give him his hptuners back.

Mine with a 5.3 mild cam and t56 only ran 13.86 before it snapped an axle. The only reason it was so slow is because it was hopping and spinning in every gear.

Walbro is decent but I think Bosch 044 is better. I'm running 2 Walbro 255s.

Usually 1/8" npt I think.

If it was starving for fuel it would most likely die at wot and no fuel. Domz is using a stock 280z pump with no issues so far.

Lift is large but duration and lsa aren't too bad. Should have a nice lope.
-
Nice numbers.

Lmao that's awesome. I broke a rod a couple weeks into my build. 4 hours later and a spare piston and rod from another engine she runs.

Make your own.

Built motor this time or another 5.3?

C6 manifolds work drivers side has to have a funky angle on the pipe though.

I ordered a stock aluminum radiator on ebay. $180 works great never over heats.
-
And it was the cv joint that broke if I remember correctly outer.
-
It broke going into second on the street. Didn't do any dialing in on spring rate. Realistically I could have made it last but it's not worth it to me. Solid axle swap take a few days and is more proven strength wise.
-
Lol yes sir you are correct. I can't watch 50 cars drive in a circle for 500 laps.
-
So you ran stock 1970s parts? Did you upgrade any of the IRS before switching it out? Don't condemn it without actually having experienced the IRS in its full glory.
Yes, the stock axles suck. But its a lot cheaper to upgrade axles than swap to a solid axle (Unless you have a special circumstance, like have a shop, welder, experience in that, ect) And MOST people don't frag CV joints like RebekahZ does. (Which I'm sure will get figured out)
I'm no IRS junky either, my car has a 9" and 28" tires. But it also runs bottom 9s with very little boost, and drives thousands of miles without any issues. I only went solid axle due to safety. No other reason.
Side note, this is probably the most posts that hybridZ has seen in years. Keep it up before the mods come and try to shut us down for talking too much.
I did the z32 axles broke one in about a week. IRS has it's place don't get me wrong. Definitely not for me though. The nazi moderators will be her soon I'm sure. Maybe I will get a warning for using the brake instead of break.

Dom has been busy as hell. I put mine up for sale just because I wanted to see if anyone would bite. A guy called me wanting just the shell so I sold the shell to him and started the new toy.
