  1. What trans are u running? Are your shifts really short with the 3.90. Also what rpms are u running in 5th gear at about 65mph. And it look great too.
  2. Finally after 3 1/2 years of work its back on the road.Still needs lots of stuff but its drivable. Went for the first drive today drives pretty straight for not having professional alignment yet. So if there's any one in the Elk Grove Calf. area, you might see me around. Her are some before and after picks hop you can tell the diff.
  3. Having my car painted right now from a friend of a friend. Guy lives in Stockton, my car should be done in prob. 2 weeks. He charged me 1500 plus paint. I will post pics when he finishes, let u know the quality. What type of work u need done?
  4. I am trying to upgrade the master cylinder on my 1972 240z from the 7/8 to 15/16". I went to kragen and ordered a master cylinder from a 1981 280zx.When it came in it had a 7/8 stamp on it. So i order one from a 1982 to see if that would be the one.The part will be in tomorrow. So i know the 15/16" came in the 1979-81 280zx. So if this next one is wrong should i try say 1980? Anyone have this problem before?
  5. Yeah the drivers side rubs a little but that's why i put the rubber hose over it, not to worried about it. I did not clamp the pas side hose its same as the drivers side rubs a little, more like just rests on the frame also not to worried about it. The only thing is i have not drove on the street with this set up because my car is still being worked on. P.S if u want to see pics let me know
  6. I used a small plate for my cable seems to work good so far. I also had a problem with the drivers side line i just added some hose to protect it. The pics are not that good but may help.
  7. I have a 1972 240z want to paint it by end of summer, and need to finish the body work, filler,sanding........ all that stuff. Need body guy to come and work on the car, car is not running so would have to work on it at my house. I have some supplies sand paper, filler, guide coat, air compressor. Its not that much work to someone thats good at it but its just not my thing, so i give up. I would rather pay someone to do it.
  8. That's gonna be one hell of a project. Why did you get the car? Yeah it was a hell of a project, about 3 years. but most of it is already done. just have to all filler and prime and sand and paint. when i got the car it looked nice lot of the rust was covered with body filler. all well lesson learned.
  9. 6/72 240Z With lots of RUST!!! new floor pans, mad dog frame rails, under battery area, rocker panels.
  10. Doing all the body and will be painting it by the end of summer was thinking silver or white, but the more i look at the original color i think i am going with the yello 112. Its really starting to grow on me. Just want to look at pics of other members yellow rides, help make my mind up. Would really help, thanks.
  11. Has anyone else run this setup? Just looking for more feed back.
  12. Thanks, Any of u guys have a pic you could post so i can see. As long as the general shape is ok i will add body filler for the small details.
