So during the dyno pulls we noticed the coolant sensor was reading erratically. It would sit at 180 then go 0 to 360 back to 0 and back to 180.
Ordered a new one and will install this weekend. Now I can set up the cold start.

Dyno pull 360z:
-
Got the car to the dyno. Made 289tq and 273hp. Ran over 25 pulls. Went thru all the driveability from 4 lbs boost to 16 lb.
Car ran great the whole time. Worked on the knock sensor, still working on the settings.

Still have some electrical gremlins. Well work through them as I have time.
Dyno pull:
-
Made it to the dyno. Had a good time. Ran thru the driveability tune. tuned rich from 4lbs boost upto 16lbs.
Best pull was 289tg and 273hp at 15.6lbs boost. Car ran great with more than 25 pulls on the dyno. Real happy with the numbers wanted to be 250hp and wished for 300hp. So got right in the middle. But...............
Tuner took the car off the dyno and went to drive it. As usual the gremlin raised its head. Car ran terrible. It spark knocked and had to reset all timing back 15 degrees to get rid of this issue. Multiple drives to get it to work decently.
It was a blast to drive and feels real fast. So will see

I have a remanufactured one looks brand new if you stillbneed one.
-
I put the speedhut tach in that looks like the stock gauge. 4in 10,000 rpm and used the out put from my ms3pro.
-
-
Yes. Will do, fix the coolant sensor.
-
Hope someone jumps in to help you. I bought ms pro. So I can't help you. Ones shop know are probably enjoying the holiday weekend here in the states.
-
Great write up. Still dialing my ms3pro in. I have a faulty coolant temp. Stays at 180 cold out HOT. Makes it a hard start cold good warm.
-
Put the alternator in. What difference.
-
Drove the car some more. Alternator will not keep up with the electric demand. Ordered new 115 amp from the Z specialists. Should have it by Monday. Will install next weekend.
Can not get the ecu to run the fuel pump. I am sure it is something I did. Will work on that.
Still an issue with blowing the fuse for the gauges and the dash lights, fog lights, wipers. Something I am working on.
-
Finally got the car running good. All I had to do was switch. I am going to run the 500cc injectors. I picked up some 850cc but they are low impedance and I have to install resistors.
-
Well as we all know it is usually something stupid. Went in switched to wasted spark and it ran great.
I know I tried that but must not have cycled the ecu.
I did buy some 850 injectors thinking I had a problem with the injectors. But the 500 work. I need to install resistors because the 850 injectors are low impedance. But may go ahead and tune on the 500cc inj.
Well let you know how it goes.

While running tried using starter fluid to see if it would clear out. Did not help.

Well I put the cat before the horse. Car was still running on 3 cylinders. I got no where with it that week. I did recruit a guy from modern day motorsport to look at it at my house. He could not figure out why it is not firing or running on all 6. I had to leave town for 2 weeks and decided to take it to his shop. Last week he rechecked everything that I had checked. Compression, wiring, fuel and the test that the computer checks. All injectors will fire in correct order, all spark guess at correct sequence.
He is going to see how it starts and runs in starter fluid to see if it is fuel Been emailing Matt at DIY. He is stunned as well.
-
I'm off to the dyno this morning. Well get back to what I end up with.
-
Yeah that will work as well. I have the down pipe with the O2 bung in it. But I was running the stock ecu before that used a narrow band O2. I wanted to have a gauge to read wide band and with the strap it was easy.
-
i have the ms3 pro running. not well yet. i have reserved time on a dyno with profressional help tomorrow. stay tuned and will give the results.
-
As far as wiring I did gm weather pack connectors for most of the connections. Wires that will be wired thru a fuse or a relay I have left longer than needed or with butt and male/female connectors. Those will be redone once the car is tuned in as what I feel a good driver.
O2 sensor I used the AEM drill hole in pipe, they have a strap the goes around the hole and has the bung for the O2 sensor to screw into.
-
playing email tag with matt we got the car to run on sequential. he had me switch trigger 2 angle to rising.
car runs poorly but better. working on it a little when i have a chance.
-
I switched from seq to batch and got it to fire and run. Roughly. I picked up some new plugs and will install tomorrow. I will go thru everything again tomorrow.

Yes. When cold (75 here in Orlando) it starts after about 5 to 7 seconds feathering the throttle. If warmed up, driven already fires on initial turn off the key. Would like that as well on start up.
