  1. i have the laine family kit with a 302 in my car currently. However i am looking to add more power then the stock block 302 can handle. I will be pulling my 302 out and installing a 351 to see how everything fits with their kit. My plan is to remove the 4 bolts that hold the bracket that the motor mounts bolt to and see if i can't lower them down and redrill holes to give myself some more clearance for the stock hood. My setup will be a turbo set up so my exhaust challenges will be different then the ones you may face. For intake i will be using a carb style intake but with the runners drilled and injector bungs welded in and a 90 degree elbow for a throttle body. i'm hoping this allow for extra hood clearance. Also i will be using the ford racing 351W fox body swap oil pan which is a double sump pan just like the fox body pan is.
  2. Do you have a shot of each side? I currently have a 5.0/t5 in my z and i'm looking to go to a 351W (turbo)/4r70w. I am curios how much clearance there is on each side of the engine for turbo headers.
  3. Just put my deposit down! Cant wait to start rounding up parts! Now I just have to decide if I'm going to keep the 302 and go boost or stroker or pull that engine put it in my fox and go with a ls or 2jz. I'm wanting more power now that I know the rest of the drivetrain will handle it! I'll also be doing a youtube series on the install! Can't wait.
  4. Im looking for a lock set for both doors and rear hatch. lock cylinder with matching keys. also looking for a complete ignition lock cylinder assembly with keys doesn't have to match the doors tho if you had an entire set that would be nice. let me know what you guys might have thanks its going on a 77 280z if that makes a difference
  5. Got it in and on the vehicle pretty excited to see how this will all turn out!!
  6. Just submitted my order! Can't wait to get it all in and get this Turbo build finished!
  7. Still looking for a manifold if any one has one for sale
  8. OK Thanks I checked all the local yards here all the 280zx they have are n/a
  9. Looking for a good l28 Turbo exhaust manifold and a reasonable price. Thanks
  10. found the link its actually a toyota slave cylinder and he gives you the part number (even though its autozone) but any part store should be able to cross it to there part number to use your personal preferred auto store. either way here is the link http://www.blueovalfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21512
  11. so far the best ford thread i've found tons of great info. agree with erehemantresi . just use you stock 280z slave cylinder. ive heard of guys using those or a rx7 slave cylinder and mounting it on the back side with some scrap steel. i'll try to find the link to the website were a guy shows you what he did for his 351w swapped focus!
  12. Yea I found one for about 150 which I plan on eventually getting. But with all the parts and body work left I'm just looking for something cheap to patch it back together until it's finally on the road and ready to upgrade
