  1. On some wheels lip to lip only adds 1/2" (I'm thinking of stock GM salad shooter wheels).
  2. Requires patience http://www.hugi.is/hahradi/bigboxes.php?box_id=51208&f_id=1000
  3. eBrake stopped working on my Z28 and I just left it in first for months, supposedly you had to drop the trans to fix the issue and seriously, I just decided to sell it as is These days I dont put the e-brake on so darn tight, just incase, at least it seems a lot easier to fix on this car.
  4. LOL I never gave up the 240Z dream, just put it on hold... I moved also, Redwood City a tad south. Cheers
  5. Its in there now but I got tired of the whole deal and I've always intended to eventually have a V8. The only way I'm going to get myself to do it is to give away the L6 and just DO IT. This will also give me a nice spot to prep the engine bay and such before hand, I actually have a garage to work in now. I'd go LS1 if I felt like spending more time and a lot more bread, but I like cheapish toys too much. I got rid of the Camaro also awhile back so I've been pondering a bike or 99/00 FRC C5 (hardtop)... Saw your LS1 vid, very nice! Got tired of the old LT1 eh? Me too
  6. Rick, I had thought the 5.0 was around 400# and the modern day LT-1 was in the low 5s (530?). The 5.0 has iron heads and an aluminum intake, the LT-1 has aluminum heads/intake, but is a tad beefier/larger.
  7. Some parts will set you back major $ (LSD rear end) or will be junkyard only, some of the reproduction prices are $ as well.
  8. Intake manifold off the trucks is a tad shorter, unless that 351 came out of one already.
  9. cough cough ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha cough ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
  10. It really looks like any V engine with DOHC would be a beach to fit.
  11. The firewall is about 3" further forward, they are heavier cars as you noted, and bumpers or not I am not as much a fan of them visually. Perhaps it being a little newer is another reason, its not as "classic," like modding a muscle car kind of  I'm sure it could be done though, they still fit that big old 6 in there.
  12. No idea on the car, I'm 250-256 though depending on the diet.
  13. Some people still road race the 928s for fun so I dont see why the 944 would be a bad choice, good luck.
  14. In CA if the car was labled historic I think it can only be driven 25 miles a month or so, its too low for me. Technically the car is supposed to be re-certified in this state which means it would have to be smog tested as the year of engine that was transplanted, I think I will convenieintly forget to do this, just have to stay out of trouble. It would also be defrauding the insurance company
