[Price estimate for 1971 240Z in Montana]

Hey guys, here are some updated pics which also show things I forgot about like the seats and an L24 block and who knows what else in the trunk. Any further ideas on price?

Hey guys I have an L28 which seems to be in good shape and 2 E88 and 2 N47 heads, appear to be in good shape and as far as I know have never been resurfaced or modified. What do you guys think these are worth? Anything?

Hey guys, I have a 1971 240Z shell currently in Bozeman, MT. I attached some pictures, it has the usual floor pan rust but otherwise mostly just surface rust as far as I know (although I have not ground off primer and paint). I'm thinking about selling it since I will be moving to CA and already have a 260z I am working on. What do you all think is a reasonable price?

Thanks but I actually was able to find a decent 260 roller so am no longer looking.  I'll be on the lookout for parts here in the near future once I get the floors replaced so if you are wanting to part out I may be a buyer on some things.  Thanks again.

Are you still looking for parts? I am in Indianapolis and have a garage full of 240, 260, and 280 parts that are up for sale if you want them.

Looks great man. I'm not usually a fan of the color white on cars, but I have to admit yours looks really good. I may have missed it somewhere, but where did you get the aftermarket bumpers?

[Advice/Guidance on first Z bodywork.]

I was lucky enough to have a friend whose family owned a autobody shop so I was able to work for them for a summer and have them teach me and help me with my car. From my experience you have to really make sure (like Jay_Gadsby said), that you have enough rust for it to be worth your time in order to sandblast. You will have to take out the interior, the sand gets everywhere...seriously, I still find some occasionally. Having it painted is expensive, but if you choose silver paint you will be doing well, red is the most expensive I've seen. I think those prices are pretty standard for cost of a good paint job. Also, choosing to do it yourself is a huge project so you have to be sure before you do it. You can get a cheap paint gun at harbor freight for like $10, but the real killer is the sandpaper and paint. I spent way more than I expected on sandpaper and paint. So now that I have begun rambling I will stop. If you have any more questions I'm happy to answer them as best I can. 

[Painting a 280z, Lacquer paint?]

Not sure if I am way too late for this comment to help at all, but I painted mine with base/clear and it turned out really well. Luckily I was able to work at a friends auto body shop for a summer and they taught me and helped me do the work on my car. I strongly considered urethane paint due to the ease of application. I don't know a ton about lacquer paint, but I've seen some pretty good looking cars that we did in the shop with urethane for a really good price. One of the best things is that since its a thicker paint urethane tends to leave more room for error without sacrificing looks (basically you can mess up more and no one will know the difference) haha. I painted all my engine compartment and inside of my car with urethane and it turned out well. Hope that helps some.
