Kiraknives

So im not very good at reading blue prints and electrical diagrams or electrical for that matter... so i was wondering how you guys wired in your aftermarket gauges. I have speed hut gauges and i know my speedo has a constant 12v wire and then a ignition wire and the rest of the gauges should just be ignition. So i wasnt sure if i just splice it to the old wires. I'm pretty sure they are a different gauge wire but does that matter ? Please let me know how you went about doing your gauges. Also i have a 72' 240z

lol. By the way what size would be the best fit for the smaller gauges 2 5/8's ? The 2 1/16's seems like it would be a tad to small to fit just right.

I'm looking for some gauges to put in my 72 240z RB25DET S2. I have seen some posts of people claiming that Auto Meter does something weird and pulls to many amps or something and the car turns off. So i'd like to see what other people are using and get their input on the best option for gauges. I have been looking at speed hut more then anything but i just dont want to buy something thats not going to work. Thanks P.S. Looking for speedo,tech and a few extra gauges like boost and all that good stuff.
