  1. If you can verify the 76 or 74 are the same (aside from the year of course), which I'm not sure they are, AND you can get me one to work from I can reproduce these for you. Not sure if that's much help, but it's an option if you can't find one elsewhere.

Just reproduced the spark plug decal for my build:

There was someone here recently who was looking for the emissions decal, as he couldn't pass smog without it.

Those are well within the scope of what I'm looking to provide, but I will need one to work from. If another year is same in every other aspect I can make it the year he needs easily enough.

  3. I'm starting to reproduce some of the factory decals that are NLA and not available as reproductions already. First up is the valve cover's spark plug decal. Not what I would consider concours quality (finish and print thickness is slightly off), but good for my restomod.

Testing one under the hood of my daily driver to verify my suppliers materials are up to the task, after which I plan on offering these and others to the Datsun community.

Currently asking what other decals are people looking for that aren't already being reproduced? I'd like to also offer 'modernized' versions of factory decals to suit the restomod crowd (think carburetor decals with tripples, paint code decals with YOUR custom paint code, etc.).

Currently I'm offering one free replica for anyone who provides a usable factory decal to work off. These don't have to be perfect, but legible and intact enough to provide a good basis for redrawing it digitally to exact scale. I also must have enough interest in any particular decal to cover the production cost. This is actually the cheap part considering I'm essentially doing the design work for free.

    Currently looking for:

    Tire inflator decal
    Glove box cards/decals
    Air filter decals

random question but does anyone know if this could find its way onto a 240z with a vintage air kit? currently just have my idle higher in the summer then lower it in winter but would love a better solution to this...

Shouldn't be too difficult to add this bracket to the carb linkage arm, and then mount the FIA.

...But where would you pull vacuum?

S30kid. He's on HybridZ, but doesn't seem terribly active. He's got a VQ in his Z now, but you might PM here or on Instagram to see if he has any observations to share from his time with the L.

Looking for a good cam core to send to rebello for re-grind. Must be in fairly decent shape with not too much pitting.

I've got a spare L28 that I can crack open for you this weekend. Should be in good shape, was running a few months ago.

  7. I've got a 2011 Subaru STi. It is superior to the Z in almost every measurable way. It can haul a fair amount of junk, two kids fit comfortably in the back it's reliable, out handles the Z, is faster both in acceleration and top speed, it has air conditioning and zero fume issues.

Guess which car I'd rather drive? Guess which one the kids always want to be driven around in?

It may not be driven around much, but I look at the Z every day and wouldn't want to see the garage without it.

  8. All that is currently required for registration is the safety inspection and even that will be getting phased out next year.

I've got straight through setup on my Z and a cat delete + cutout on my STi. Ive never had any issues getting them inspected.

Z will eventually be getting an L28ET with a cutout shooting through the fender. I doubt I'll have issues even with that.

  9. I might have one for you.

I gave it to a friend who was planning an r200 conversion, but he decided to use a Subaru R180. I'll see if he has any plans for it. It has been modified with an outlet for an oil cooler and two bungs for sensors (gauge and pump switch). Not sure if this is overkill for your application.
