  3. I'm looking for a BPT Valve Control Tube. It's the metal tube that goes from the bottom of the BPT Valve to the side of the EGR. I'm looking to pick one up from someone near the Los Angeles Area. I'm in Eagle Rock/Glendale so anyone close that has one lying around. Please let me know through PM or call me at 323-547-8135.   4. I think the CA18DET gets the bad rep because there's other Nissan engines out there that make more power, more torque, and have better aftermarket support. The CA18DET is a good engine, but why spend money on a "mini-rb" when you could get a RB20DET for almost around the same price. It's not the big grand daddy of the RB Family, but it's a Inline-6 2.0L vs a 4 Cylinder 1.8L. As you said, there's no replacement for displacement. I've had a RB20DET in my last 240SX. I've drifted and abused it(it loves to rev to high rpms), but I also daily drove it. It was very reliable, got good gas milage when I wasn't driving like a maniac, and the sound it makes is just music, hahaha. I've also had a SR20DET in my first 240sx. It's just that the demand for the SR20DET makes the engine more expensive. As another member already said, it's a lighter engine because it's an alumminum block and it puts out more HP and torque with tons of aftermarket support than the CA18DET. With all that said, the CA18DET is just given the bad rep because no one really look to it as they do a SR20DET. Also, because a couple of SR20's in those civics will be good for race wars (some sh!t like that, hahaha).
  5. Alright, cool thanks for your help man! Yeah, I don't have an A/C system, but I think my car did come with A/C since I have the A/C switch in my car that goes from off to max. There's a mount there that's probably for the reservoir, but no plastic bottle present. I think I'll leave that Vacuum port with the orange circle capped off.
  6. Okay, so... Red - goes to the vacuum advance T. Blue - goes to the Electronic Valve for the EGR. Where is this component located? *But in the FSM (page: EC-23, Fig. EC-46), it looks like the Purge line from the carbon canister connects here though, does it not? Green - goes to the dashpot, but is it okay to leave my FPR connected there? If not, where should i connect my FPR? Orange - goes to the vacuum reservoir. Which would be where?
  7. Okay well I just recently got this car a couple weeks back, it's a '78 280Z with a L28E. I noticed that there were some vacuum lines that were disconnected and vacuum ports plugged up with screws and caps. I've read the FSM, but I just have a couple questions just to make sure and clear some things up a bit. First, the red circle on the charcoal canister (Vaccum signal?). I'm thinkin' that it's supposed to attach to the T on the distributor, correct? Also, does the purge line from the charcoal canister go to the vacuum port circled in blue? Because right now the purge line is capped off with a bolt and I know that's not right at all. Second, is the Fuel Pressure Regulator. When I got the car it wasn't hooked up to a vacuum port so I just hooked it up to the vacuum port circled in green, but I'm thinking it's supposed to go to the capped off vacuum port in orange. If the Fuel Pressure Regulator is in the right spot, what's the vacuum port that's circled in orange hook up to? I've looked through the FSM, but I can't find a complete vacuum diagram.
