  1. I would just get Toyota 4x4 vented brakes for the front would be cheaper. Here on hybrid z we don't believe in the best. Good Idea to ship the parts in your car. To save money you could just piece a kit together on here or where ever . Arizona Z car stuff is very beautiful though. People like Beta motor sports, Arizona Z, Ground control (Techno Toy Tuning) have good coil-overs for our cars. There are a few others also. Is K sport that Ebay Stuff? Can't remember off hand. Also u should look into the Megan route its not bad from what I hear .

  2. Yea don't get discouraged. Just Re size the pics. This is the Best Darn Z forum out there. That's why there are the rules that are here now. They just don't wanna clog the site with Huge pics When They could save that space for Knowledge and all the other good things every one has to offer. Your build was going pretty well by the way . You were on top of it. Just re size them so we can all continue to Enjoy the Read. Good luck with your build also.

  3. Thanks.

This motor has 60% compression, so I don't trust it will last that long. Although, maybe since it has lower compression, it will! Either way I got a CLSD and other parts with it so I couldn't pass up a running and driving parts car. I have a VG33 waiting to be built, only then can I, "let the carnage begin".

So, I will try and limit it to 300HP for now.

Got shite . Glad to see its running , Drive it til It Bloz UP B) .

  4. I as soon as I hear from Robert I will get this going up again. I know Him pretty well and will see about getting this going . I have some already (Hybrid z and Datsun patches) but not enough to make everyone happy . I will get this back up and running as soon as I hear from Him.

  5. Hey Jenzos

Got a couple quick questions about your springs if u don't mind me asking?

Did u have to mod the springs are were they just bolt on? Are they coilovers are just regular springs? Are the cut or uncut? Also how does it ride Is it bouncy or is it stiff? Also what stocks are u running with the springs? Sorry If I had to many questions . Coming along nice keep up the good work .

  6. I'm going to be doing this pretty soon since I bought a Sport 400 (From JWT) that was previously on a '84 300zx. Can anyone with turbo knowledge tell me if there are any gaskets or seals that need to be replaced or taken special care of when clocking the compressor or exhaust turbine as Pyro had mentioned.

This will obviously be my first time doing this. I have average mechanical skills (not a dummy). Is this one of those things I should leave for someone skilled though so I don't screw up my nice turbo in the process??

Got any pics or specs of the 400 sport (From JWT).

  7. JeffP made more than that on a stock manifold ...

In fact, he discarded the tubular manifold he had and went back to a stock (ported) Nissan cast iron manifold as the passages internally were larger and it didn't warp uncontrollably.

Nissan manifold, modified for external wastegate...650+Hp

I was waiting for Tony D to give us the numbers Thanks Wiki D... :D

But like I said the stock single turbo manifold is a great piece and no real point in paying a ton for a twin set up unless it will be a dream come true.

  8. the NGK Iridiums do work well. Some people don't like the additional cost though- cant say I blame them. Instead of twin turbo just use a good single with a good turbo header leading into it. The turbo header can make a HUGE difference in spool time.

I've never had any troubles With my NGK Iridium's . But a comment on the turbo Header the stock one is perfectly Fine there is a Guy in Nissan sport magazine stock Turbo manifold with porting Putting out 600hp. Jeffp Also has a really powerful L series On stock turbo manifold Pushing 450-500hp.

The money being spent to get a custom single turbo manifold or Twin Will be costly and I'm sure u can make more power with that money spent else where. Its all in preference I guess, I have a custom turbo manifold for my project , But probably won't go on for a while after Porting and all the other head work to come.

But good luck on what ever u decide to do . I say Slap a turbo kit on your z and see how u like it . You can always use one of your Volvo turbos and save one as a spare.
