  1. So you are using a T5 SC. That's good because it has a bleed screw. I would take fluid out of your MC. and force fluid in your SC bleed hole to force air bubbles up, this should help. It's very difficult to bleed the clutch system the old fashioned way.
  2. Nice car! Personally I like the old wheels better, but very nice.
  3. Pull all the plugs out, and then turn it over with the starter with no compression. If it still stops you have a major problem
  4. Looks like damage you would see from an ice storm.
  5. Yeah what Miles said, don't throw in 30 amps because the old ones were blowing! Did you get the Honda wiper to self park? I heard that was a problem.
  6. The second one is definitely a Chevy. I would say 70's or 80's. Check the serial numbers at theis site. http://www.mortec.com/ http://web.archive.org/web/20080518030656/http://www.mortec.com/ click "Impatient?"
  7. White Porsche: Damn, I was just passed by a VW bus!! I suck!!
  8. Headlight switches on Z cars are a known problem. You can take it appart and sand the contacts. If things are melted, you need a new switch.
  9. Why are you using an old style down flow radiator? Cross flow radiators are much more efficient. You can also use a higher pressure cap on a cross flow to help keep it cool. This may help explain it: http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/techarticles/148_0504_cooling_system_info/index.html
  10. Buy the JTR bible, do what it says, start your swap. If you have questions during your swap, do a search first to see if it has been answered. If not, then ask your questions here. Good luck! Keep us posted with pics.
  11. My condolences Mike, may he rest in piece.
  12. What you are looking at is a 280ZX, not a 280Z. Do a search for 280ZX V8, you'll find lots of info. Here are the JTR V8 mounts for ZX: http://jagsthatrun.com/Datsun-ZX_Order.html
  13. As far as I can recall, the Scarub, I think Nordskog, and even Hooker mounts are a thick C shape between the cross member and engine. You can move that C piece, so it looks like a C or a backwards C, and this will change the position of the engine a couple of inches.
  14. At least the car didn't get wrecked!
  15. Another thing to check is for a vacuum leak somewhere, that would also have a fast idle effect
