  1. Hey guys, i have a 72 Datsun 240Z with a L28 and installed a holly electric fuel pump. Been running for the past 2 years but yesterday evening tried starting but no fuel was running to the carbs. I can't hear the fuel pump no more. Could it be that my pump is bad?
  2. Ahhhh! Even better i have ramps too! Thanks a bunch! Ill be sure to post pictures! So i should loosen both ends of each control arm correct? Then retighten it up with some weight in the car right?
  3. Wow, i never really thought about that. And yes i did tighten it up while it was still on the jack. Thank you a bunch!!! I'll be doing that this weekend! So will i have to take my wheels off again then loosen it or loosen the control arms with the wheels mounted on?
  4. Thanks, yes i did check them multiple times. The 1 's went in the front and the 2's went in the back. Theres about a 2 and a quarter gap from my tires to the wheel fender lip. Are my wheel set up to small? Im running 225 50 15. And the speings are seated so you can read the numbers right side up.
  5. Hey all, so I just got installed some eibach lowering springs with a set of blue Tokico HP's struts. I've researched and seen many Z 's results after this setup was installed on and they look awesome. But sadly mine looks weird. The rear of my Z is dropped i compared it with before and after pictures but the front still looks like how it was at stock height. I installed the taller springs in the front and shorter springs in the rear. Could alignment be an issue as to why the front end is higher? Please anyone, feed backs or tips will be greatly appreciated for why the front is higher. Thank you!
  6. That looks good so far. My car is also in the restoration process. So sounds like I'm going for Tokico struts and Eibach springs! I love the way all your Z's look. Thanks alot for sharing images of your wonderful Zs! I will update and post more pictures after my installations but still do upload and share images of your Zs. Thanks so much! You have been real helpful! GDP
  7. Wow big improvement but I don't want to go through the hassle of cutting spings or coils. I just want install them and be set. I also want the ride and handling quality to be there. Thanks for sharing. Quick question, which kind of coilevers are you planning to get? I thought about that as well.
  8. Hey there guys so I am debating on dropping my 72 Datsun 240Z a little more than an inch. I've been doing lots of research and I'm not sure which springs set I should get. I'm thinking about Tokico blues for the shocks but not sure of springs. I've read a lot on here about some of the troubles some members here has gone through just installing the tokico springs and how the drop is almost identical to the stock height. I'm thinking about the Eibach Prokit finding that it drops from 1-1.5 inches from stock height. Any suggestions and opinions will be very well appreciated. Thanks ahead of time. GDP Here are some pictures of my car. with centerline wheels
  9. eh i love your set of rims. i was thinking about getting the same set too but maybe 7x8's only. 8.5's seem a little bit too deep for me. Do you know if the wheels hit anything on the inner side of the wheels?
  10. Ok I got some questions for you. I have a gold 72 240z and im having some trouble starting it up. I bought new ignition coil, new spark plugs, new distributor cap, and bought a new battery for it too. Me and my father tried most of wat we thought would start it but it tends to not work. somedays it would start when me and my dad installed the new ignition coil but now a days the ignition wont even fire all you smell is gasoline. i was thinking maybe the carbs were bad because i have triple weber carbs on my 240z. could that be a problem? if so or if you have any other ways of helping me revive my 240z please give me some replies and ways i can possibly do to get my car back on the road. thanks.
  11. Hi, I'm going to buy some Rota RB rims for my 72 Datsun 240z but I need to know what Offset would be best for my 16 inch wheels? the rim size is 16X8. Im looking to making the car have a dip dish wheel but not scrape the suspensions. Please anyone with any advices reply back. THANK YOU ALL!
