  1. It's time to start working on this again, still need some closeup pics of cover installed. Side and wheel area. Thanks!
  2. As for part of your question, 280zx panels do not fit the s30 cars: 240,260 or 280Z. Also the panels between the coupe and the 2+2 models are slightly different. Someone else will have to chime in about the 240-260-280 swaps, I think most are the same but not sure.
  3. Can someone please post some close up pics of your type II rear cover installed. Interested in the side and wheel well portion. Top down on side would be nice. Been working on mine off and on for a few hours, just can't get it to fit. I have trimmed some of the side, but dont want to trim too much. I realize that mine wont be exactly the same but I need a little guidance. Also how far in did you have to push the bumper shocks? Mine seems like they need to be in all the way for it to fit. Thanks!
  4. click the above link in the top post for more pictures.
  5. They are sprayed on. The instructions are on this page: http://www.donjer.com/howto.htm I used the mini-flocker applicator.
  6. What size wheels do you think provide the best overall look and ride for a stock suspension height 280ZX. 14",15"16"or17"
  7. Since the headliner came out so good, I decided to also flock the two upper rubber trim pieces. They were faded and looked pretty bad. I still had lots of flocking fibers left, but none of the adhesive. I learned that the adhesive is really nothing more than color matched acrylic paint. Went to the local home store and got 1 qt of flat black for about $8.00. Here is a closeup of the results. The flash makes it brighter than actually is but shows the texture well. This flocking stuff is really easy and I like the results. The only other part I think I would like to do is the rear drivers side compartment panel.
  8. Motorsport has the various 4 lug Konig wheels for $100.00 off normal price. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/WWC19 Wasn't sure where to post this, sorry if in wrong place.
  9. Just received today, part #50-1478, ordered about 11 days ago. It was delivered Fedex ground in a huge box. Seems to be in real nice condition, don't see any visible cracks/chips or other defects. The sides were bubble wrapped. I know there will be work to get it to match the nuances of my Z. Here are some photos for the curious. Also a picture of the instructions. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2533/3876103608_c6f9c1e978_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2613/3875311893_765f165227_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3493/3875310661_9bc9c29581_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3498/3875310503_2b5a22741e_b.jpg
  10. Thanks for the reply, wish I knew that last week. I had all the back interior out for other things, then took a good day fighting to get it all back together. There's no way I'm ready to go thru that again I'll keep this in mind for later. For now I'll just try to work around it.
  11. "Bump" Any ideas! Don't want to ruin it, doing it the wrong way.
  12. I'm almost positive you can get them for the s130, maybe not the s30, anyone know?
  13. I read once that you could remove the rear seats and install the rear floor storage panel from a 2 seater. The mounting holes are supposed to already be there. Has anyone doen this or have pictures/more information? Does it look factory when done? I may like to do this. My rear seats don't get used and they stay folded down anyhow. I was thinking about creating something to take the place of the seats, but this seams easier.
  14. Ordered from here:http://www.donjer.com/ I used the enhanced nylon kit for $41.00, it lets you get 2 3oz bags of fibers, I got both bags in black. Only used about 25% of the fibers, but almost all the black adhesive. Should be enough adhesive to cover about 50 sq ft, but my headliner board was not properly sealed and it absorbed almost all the adhesive, and I also used more than was needed. I am also thinking about flocking the rubber trim pieces that go along the bottom edge of the headliner. This would be a great way to change interior color on parts that would not be handled or abused much.
