  1. I've been running the same World Class T-5 for 2.5 years now. Making 300whp on a dynojet and 255whp on a dynodynamics loaded dyno. When I first put the transmission in I ran ATF for a little and it was always really rough to shift ( I guess the bad synchros and such a thin fluid) I tried Mobil 1 synthetic and since then it has been a lot better.
  2. This actually happens to me as well. I can only run so low of a boost no matter what conditions ... I usually run 14 psi (T3/To4e 57 trim) daily on the road but more when someone wants to run 18-20 psi on 100 octane. (Safe for now, untuned) The problem is the internal wastegate hole is too small for all the gases. Even with my actuator disconnected with the flapper moving freely... it will still go way above 10 psi. It came to the point where it drove me crazy because I tried everything ... MBC and EBC.. They will both hold but def can't run low boost pressures. I run the Greddy Profec B SpecII now, but still only able to run so low of boost. I don't really care anymore. If you want to fix the problem.. port the hole as much as you can so the flapper still covers the hole.
  3. Detonation will kill forged pistons or cast aluminum ones... Yes I understand it will take a little more but that's a little more money. As far as the motor goes.. the crank and rods are forged from factory. The stock pistons can easily handle 15 psi without any detonation. Goodluck
  4. How much do you think that manifold will cost Cody? Let me know, I may be interested.
  5. I have had this problem for a long time, talk about frustrating. I notice with the both lines used, the valve leaks and causes the car to bog down as the rpm's go up. Right now I have the type- s on the car .. for about 15psi .. I have the valve pretty tight but not all the way. This allows lower boost to vent and allows the valve to hold shut and not blow open at the higher boost..like it has a billion times. It's just all about getting the tension right for a certain amount of boost. It's a real pain in the *** and real annoying.
  6. I was meaning to check all coolant hoses, not the headgasket. That is pretty obvious it is blown most of the time.. Oil in the radiator, car is overheating, possibly even smoking a bit. Retap the manifold, I've had the threads strip themselves before. As far as the waterpump, there is a weap hole on it that usually starts dripping when it is going bad.
  7. Make sure you check all your fuel lines, turbo oil feed line, and make sure you don't have a coolant leak. You may have an exhaust manifold leak, check the torque on all bolts. (Usually if you have an exhaust manifold leak you will hear a loud sharp ticking like an injector) Keep an eye on your oil levels, make sure you are not blowing it out of the back or your turbo is going bad and causing you to burn oil. That's about all I can think of with little detail given. Goodluck
  8. http://www.myspace.com/hallucinationed1 Just figured I would throw mine up.
  9. I've tested my manual boost controller and it was dead on. This profec is so damn hard to nail on dead boost for all the options. At least I think so..
  10. You could always get rid of the profec b boost controller and run a bleeder valve. I run the profec and I have creep on my setup similar to yours.
  11. Does anyone run one on their l28et? If you do.. please share your settings. I have been messing with mine for months and havn't exactly mastered one. I am still running the stock actuator on a t3/t4 57 trim .. no matter what I can't seem to get my boost set anywhere dead on. I am sure other people could use the settings as a general area. It's hard to set the gain percentage with a start boost that doest spike etc etc. Thanks, Ant.
  12. I was looking into doing an audible detonation setup with the headunit through AUX input. Just out of curiousity, what type of detonation setup do you use?
  13. Good question. I myself am curious how everyone has their nitrous setup with the l28et. Let me know how the setup works out for you, I am really itching to spray mine as well. I don't hear of many spraying our motors if rarely ever.
  14. I ran 10-30 non sythetic for a few thousand .. switched to 15-50 to 20-50 for summer. Mobile 1 synthetic
