  1. A few pics of the latest build, starting late this summer... The floor, firewall, suspension and inner fenders will be replaced by a full tube frame and cage, double A-arm suspension and new drive-train in the form of a twin turbo 1.5UZ V8. The L28 will remain in the car for the next year or so while the V8 is built alongside. 3. Tell them that you'll buy one after you see pictures of the product actually installed in a car. That's reasonable and sensible. There was a guy on the forum a few years ago that was welding up some very nice looking intake manifolds. But he didn't have any data showing how they worked on an engine. He took many orders, collected lots of money for a Group Buy, took forever to get the first few out, they didn't fit, and he ripped off many of the people who never got a manifold. He lived the good life in the meantime, getting married and probably using all of his ill-gotten money for his wedding. Some people mean well but just can't get it done. Some people are just trying to make some money over the internet. Scammers. Search for "Senza Pari" on the site and around the internet. https://forums.hybridz.org/search/?q=Senza Pari

  6. Absolutely... Easiest way to do it is take your overall bend angle and break it evenly into the number of sections you wish to use... the more sections, the smoother the transition. We use Solidworks to model each individual pie-section, and then lay everything out just to. From there, each piece is laser-cut from the Parasolid file to the exact angle, to within .003". We even etch the piece at 0 and 180 to line everything up perfectly, or they can be offset to create a complex curve... Here's a Rotary manifold done using 15 degree pie-sections, before and after. 7. It's odd but their Google search results show "LLC" meaning that they should be registered in a state somewhere as a limited liability corporation. A legal entity, allowed to do business, pay employees, pay taxes, etc. But on their Facebook page and their actual web site they don't show that at all. Also no location or phone numbers. So, they, or he, could disappear overnight and it would be difficult to find him/them to pursue reimbursement. (See Senza Pari, for example). Enthusiastic people with ideas crop up all the time then get bogged down in the actual work of running a business. Be careful with your purchases. Get that critical information before you send your money. I only realized this about Apex Engineered because I just wanted to see what this "company' was about. Kind of worrisome. If you know what state he/they work(s) in the business should show up on the states Secretary of State LLC page. I added the link for Washington state as an example. Contact information will be there. You can also check the Better Business Bureau to see if they're having problems. Might be a great guy, great company, but maintaining a business as a "going concern" is a lot of work. Kind of just using this company as an example, I don't know anything about them/him. The signs are there though. Good luck people. https://www.sos.wa.gov/corps/limitedliabilitycompaniesllconlineandpaperregistrations.aspx https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1SQJL_enUS862US862&sxsrf=ALeKk02hq2KeDj5c7JU6_jungnyo3ujx1Q%3A1598309256492&ei=iENEX4POHcfk-gShg7PwAQ&q=apex+engineered+llc&oq=apex+engineered+llc&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQAzIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB46BAgAEEdQipUFWKeYBWDlmgVoAHACeACAAVuIAfEBkgEBM5gBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXrAAQE&sclient=psy-ab&ved=0ahUKEwiDsuX79bTrAhVHsp4KHaHBDB4Q4dUDCAw&uact=5 https://www.apexengineered.com/contact-us.html https://www.facebook.com/pg/apexengineered/about/?ref=page_internal https://www.facebook.com/ohm.pandya.5 https://www.bbb.org/
  8. I think comparing Senza Pari to Apex is a bit of a low blow. Apex has moved a large amount of product and Ohm is actually responsive to customer concerns. They are a business, rather than a guy. As far as documentation, they are on the same level as T3, which has been the standard for a long time in Z car aftermarket. From looking at Instagram and facebook, Apex is mostly selling front subframes, control arms and steering knuckles, makes sense they wouldn't be selling a huge amount of the conversion kits.
  9. Currently, at it's final ride height. Rocker panels still need to be trimmed up to the bottom of the door sill for the new frame/floor. Total height is 40.80". 11. So my understanding was (TonyD would be a better reference for this) that the Senza Pari manifolds were a mix of modified stock manifold, CNC'ed and fabricated bits, and not a "fully CNC'ed" manifold. However it looks like your best info on the latest Senza Pari manifolds (and how to buy one) would be here: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/117103-senza-pari-manifold-group-buy-v-20/

  15. I was comparing this plenum upper to the senza pari intake I have and noticed they are about the same length. If the welds on the plenum of my intake go, I may try to make an adapter for this. I wonder if its width would create dead zones however. Part here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-300-232
  16. Six weeks ago I received my upgraded intake manifold from Senza Pari group buy in(http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/101620-l6-intake-manifold-group-buy/page-23?hl=intake&do=findComment&comment=1096425). Unfortunately it arrived without the Weber 60mm throttle body that should have been sent with it. I was told the HybridZ member was to be contacted and to get in touch with me for shipping arrangements. Here it is 6 weeks later with no response from Casey, Senza Pari after 4 emails inquiring on it's whereabouts. Left with no other options, I am asking the forum member here to please do the right thing and contact me in regards to this. Thanks, Chris
  17. Ok, Brief background. First Pull is from a few years ago with the group buy SENZA PARI intake. We figured the short intake runners killed the Torque on the motor. Second Pull is from this spring with a rebuilt .40 over motor as the old motor dropped compression on the #4 cylinder and had to be rebuilt. The motor is an N42 with N42 head and is completely stock with the exception of the .40 overbore. We are readying a new intake which will be port matched to the head and also will have had the runners opened up. The big issue we have with the current intake is this is a webbed EGR intake and the intake log is necked down for the last 2~3 cylinders and we are not sure if that is impacting the flow. So we are going to a non webbed non EGR intake that is the same diameter the whole way down the log. The real issue that we would like to solve is moving the HP and Torque a bit further along in the RPM range as the Torque peak is faith at 4400RPM and the HP peak is at 5000RPM. we expected it to not peak at such a low RPM. We are also thinking an adjustable Cam Pulley might help us move the peaks. Any thoughts??
  18. I went to the webbed EGR intake due to the short runners on the Senza intake killing the torque on the motor. This advice was from a guy that was racing and crewing for them in the good old days Run file 12 is the Senza intake Run 44 is the webbed EGR intake. The longer runners definitely brought the torque back...
  19. Sounds like you got lucky. As I recall Casey took people's money and manifolds but did not deliver a product or return what he took. That's called stealing and people that do that are called thieves. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/117103-senza-pari-manifold-group-buy-v-20/?do=findComment&comment=1097597 If the manifold does the same job the stock one did, with no change in power output, then it's is essentially an appearance piece, as was suggested early on.
  20. He's probably seen the discussions about Sensa Pari and is avoiding any Hybridz association. The OP probably could have had one made but he might have referred to the JeffP thread and ruined his chance. Ariel/ISL33P never came back with the flow numbers in that other thread. His business, and the Sensa Pari fiasco, shows that there's a demand out there. Ron Tyler and BRAAP's work showed that bolt-on performance for the L6 is not easy. Lots of L series engines over there, seems like somebody would have done one already.
  21. Yep, the front versions are only about .75" above the mounting plate, where the rears (shown) are 2.25". Here they are without the studs in place jsut yet. Too much going on with the holidays/hunting/other cars to get these in the car just yet! 280Z REAR STRUT HATS 005 by SENZA PARI, on Flickr 280Z REAR STRUT HATS 008 by SENZA PARI, on Flickr
  22. Thanks! The section of piping shown (1.5" nom, true OD of 1.90" with 0.065" wall) was done simply to setup the welding parameters for the material to be used, it wont be used for anything:-) The header for the L28 will be done using pie-cuts, there will not be a sinle pre-bent piece used. Sure, its more welds (rediculously more welds...) but using pie-cuts gives you the freedom to route a runner wherever it might need to go in order to achieve equal length. And it looks out of this world. Here's a downpipe we jsut did using pie-cuts... so imagine this using the 1.5" piping shown above and many more bends:-) IMAG1320 by SENZA PARI, on Flickr IMAG1642 by SENZA PARI, on Flickr As for the rear bumper spolier, thats long gone! All but one of the above pics show it removed.
  23. I'm just wondering. I can see letting an opportunity grow in to something bigger. But if jdmpowerhouse was in the works from Post #1, that would be a bit disingenuous and make you think twice about the whole story. If you pay jdmpowerhouse for the diff, it wouldn't be a surprise to find that the mfactory warranty is void. Better check that mfactory will honor a second-hand warranty. If jdmpowerhouse is a small LLC, they won't have the resources to honor any warranty, let alone a lifetime policy. One bad diff could wipe them out. They only have two products shown on their brand new web page. The road to hell and all that... see Senza Pari.
  24. Not to thread jack, but wasn't the car in that Touge Factory article the one from the original Senza Pari intake manifold buy? Curious as to why its getting another intake fabricated.
