  3. I got this car earlier this month, it has a swapped engine form another Z in it, not sure if its a L24, L26, L28, or what year it is.
  4. I'm selling new Konig Rewind Wheels shod in Yokahama S Drive 215/55R16 93W rubber. I bought these wheels and tires mounted them on the car and drove less than ten miles before removing them. There is nothing wrong with them I just decided to hold off on wearing them out until I completed modifications on my car. Well, mods got a little out of hand and mounting these wheels and tires on the car is no longer practical so I'm selling them for the low low price of $750+shipping. There are no nicks, scratches, clear coating de-lamination and tires have, like I said less than tens miles on them. Item is located in Columbus, GA and includes full set of Gorilla lock nuts with key. These wheels sell for $600 without tires and you can figure on an easy additional $500 for rubber so this is a bargain. If you have any questions let me know. Or text me 314-three four eight-58 three nine. Thank you,

  6. hey guys i'v been looking on line for answers to solve my sloppy rear suspension, i have the tokico lowering kit 'springs and blue shocks.' i have a 5.3 lm7 with a saginaw 4 speed trans. stripped interior ' no dash' and new 195/70r14 tires, and new poly bushings all around. the set up feels alright when im cruising around and in straight lines but when i start going 65ish mph through a long fast turn i feel the rear wanting to spin. 1) I wonder if my car is unbalanced since i have the v8 up front and only the fuel tank in the back?i did position the engine as close to the fire wall as possible when i made my motor mounts. 2) And if its not because of weight distribution is it because i dont have the correct spring rates for my set up? what would you recommend on the springs F and R ?
  7. I'm looking for the flat metal plate that bolts to the distributor and the aluminum spacer. I think thats the best way to describe it. I'm attaching a picture. I live in the Tulsa, OK area. If you are close I'll come pick it up. Chris

  13. Everything must go! I bought this '83 ZX for its front spindles, rear brakes and wheels, but all other parts are up for grabs. It doesn't have an engine block but most of the body is in straight shape (except one dent on the front passenger fender, underlying structure perfectly sound) and there are plenty of smaller parts available. I'm willing to take a Sawzall and cut out any body piece you need. Interior was black and gray originally. 109,885 miles on the chassis. I'm located in Southern Utah, about 2 hours north of Vegas and 3.5 hours south of SLC. Local pickup is welcome and shipping will be in addition to the stated prices here. Anything that doesn't sell is getting crushed when I scrap the remains of this car. Will consider trades for 510 parts. I currently am looking for a driver side exterior door handle (should be the same as an S30 one), a full set of seatbelts, a stock external rearview mirror, metal pillar vents, a hood release setup (cable & handle), auto trans column shift position indicator, hazard light switch knob, battery hold-down hardware, L16 lower thermostat housing and other miscellaneous small bits. Also might consider trades for some stock 240Z front LCAs and/or plastic seat adjuster covers. Body, Exterior & Glass: front & rear bumpers $30 ea. - front bumper has a small chunk missing from the rubber on the passenger side rear quarter panels $50 ea. rear hatch with good hatch glass $50 doors $50 ea. - if these don't sell I'll part out the glass, power motors, switches and handles - interior door panels are cracked unfortunately driver side fender $20 - great shape passenger side fender $10 - has a decently big dent in the lower rear headlight housings - $10 / set side marker lights $5 ea. - I have lenses and housings for both rear and one front, plus a front housing with no lens taillights $15 / set – the lenses are cracked, but the harnesses, bulbs, back plates and metal brackets should be good license plate light housing - $10 quarter window glass $10 ea. - has peeling old tint, but glass itself is in good shape wiper motor with linkage $20 - untested passenger side t-top with cracked glass - $10 gas tank $25, gas tank straps $10 - no sending unit or fuel pump Engine Bay: AFM $5 engine crossmember $15 W48 intake manifold $40 – I have the EGR valve and throttle body to throw in with this if they're wanted exhaust manifold with O2 sensor $20 D6K82 distributor with E12-93 matchbox ignition module $80 – I run this exact same matchbox module on my 240Z injector cooling fan $10 horns $5 /set brake booster with aluminum spacer $20 – unknown condition of diaphragm Drivetrain: R180 (3.545 ratio) $40 u-joint halfshafts $25 ea. Driveshaft $40 3N71B automatic transmission $50 - comes with lockup torque converter, flexplate, shifter, linkage and fluid lines - missing speedo pinion speedometer cable - $5 Suspension & Steering: front & rear sway bars $20 ea. front LCAs $20 / set T/C Rods $20 / set steering column $20 rear crossmember $20 Interior: digital dashboard cluster (untested) $30 seat brackets - $10 ea. - original seat covers are cracked from wear and tear plus sun exposure dash mounted cruise control switch $5 complete wiring harness - $100 – stem to stern with intact dash harness and engine harness 1983 specific ECU $15 - I'll throw this in for whoever buys the whole wiring harness, provided they want it arm rests - $20 / set heater box, blower motor box and A/C evaporator box $30 for all or $15 ea. all the plastic HVAC hoses and outlets - $5 / set – great shape, no holes If anyone thinks I'm too far off on any of my prices then feel free to make an offer.

  17. Hi guys, Just thought I'd make myself known here on the forum. I'm new here (and to the Zed scene as a matter of fact). I currently have a 280ZX 2+2 that I'm going to start work on as a project. I'd like to do a fair bit of work myself and, from what I've read so far is there is a wealth of knowledge here on the forum. I do have some questions but I'm going to do a bit of digging around first to see if I can't find any answers. Anyway, thanks guys, you'll surely hear from me soon as I start work.
  18. So I just picked up an '83 280zx-t that I am planning on using as a donor for my l28et swap in my S30. Bought it not runningn as something "electrical" went wrong with the previous owner. He said he took it out of storage, jumped the battery and drove around the block and now the car won't start. When I got it home I began to go through all of the wiring and finally I was able to get some of the lights, however I still cannot get the car to turn over when I turn the ignition switch. I noticed a relay was missing from the relay box and also a wire cut from the other box under the hood. Hoping someone can help me identify if the missing relay or wire could be my problem.

I am currently in the market to start sourcing parts for a turbo swap into my S30. I am interested in anything you may have to get me to my goal, which is as of right now, to run a stock l28et in my 240z. The more complete of a swap the better for me. Let me know what you've got
  20. I got a buddy at a design school in Raleigh, and he wants to digitally model my 280ZX. The guy's in school for videogame/movie design, and this is all part of a project for a class he's taking. I've done some googling and forum searching, but I can't find what I'm looking for, at least not for free. Anyone got something like a technical drawing or blueprint of the car? BTW, I'll see if I can post a shot of the model when it's done.
  21. Hello HybridZ, Im new to the forum so any tips or suggestions would be helpful Lets get to the point though, Im looking for a Vacuum Tank for my 1979 280zx. Cant find any on Craigslist or Ebay so I hope someone on here will be my savior. Let me know if anybody can help out Thanks Bruce
  22. Does anyone have good pictures of MSA Classic and/or Type 1 airdam? I've been wondering around the interwebz and searches but can't seem to come across good ones... Also it doesnt necessary have to be MSA ones, as long as the airdam can flow with the body on its own without side skirts and still in production. thanks.
  23. Anyone ever heard of Pace Setter exhaust headers? I've done a Google search and turned up reviews from "they're garbage" to "they're the best for the money." Someone posted a thread on here about six years ago, but it didn't get much input, and I was wondering if anyone has since used them on the road to any success. I've been ripping apart my 280zx and the guy who owned it before me must've installed them. The stupid things are so big it made getting the heat shield off a pain. I'll post some pics tonight, if anyone's interested.. They're rusty, but it doesn't look like they've been compromised; the car was left at the edge of a forest for a few years so even what little coating they had is almost gone. I'd considered trying to sell them off cheap and getting a stock unit if possible. Trash or keep?
  24. Hi guys, I just got a 280zx and put a battery in it and turned the key and nothing happened. So I figured the battery was dead, I put a new battery in, same thing, so I put the new battery on a charger, same thing. There is no power to anything, no headlights, no dash lights, no hazard lights, no horn, nothing. So I checked all the fuses and they look good, checked the wiring from the battery and it looks good, but I found some wires right next to the battery that are cut. I'm not sure where they are supposed to go, or even if this is the problem? But it seems like the power from the battery isn't getting to the car. Anyone able to help? Thanks
  25. I'm in need of an ecu wiring harness from a 1983 280zx turbo in good condition. Thanks.
